Finally Scot Pollard has said what I been saying. 14/29 from the free throw line in Game 7 and free throw shooting was the Kings problem the entire series and cost them a shot at a 3-1 series lead going back to Arco for that Game 5.
I watched this series live. I didn't need anyone to convince me it was fixed. It was so obvious.

I was only 10 years old during this series. I watched every single minute of every single game of this series because I love basketball and grew up in Sacramento. It was blatantly obvious game 6 was a setup
I remember watching and my jaw was on the ground the entire 4th quarter. I'm still pissed about it. That team was sick.
The Kings smoked Game 4. They were up 24 in that game and had a chance to go up 3-1. They also smoked Game 7 with all those missed free throws. I wanted the Kings to win but let's not act like they didn't contribute to their own demise
These were actual teams not like today.
Since this is the era of stats I would like to see the stat of how many times has a team been given 27 or more free throws in the 4th quarter in the western conference finals or nba finals 🤔 wouldn't be surprised if the lakers and other big market teams or on that list more than once.

Kings in 5 (Lakers lucked in game 4 because of the two buzzer beaters in both halves, the Walker half court 3 should not have counted cause 🏀 was still on his fingers, and then of course Vlade Divac tipped the damn 🏀 out to Horry instead of rebounding it meaning the Kings win that game by two instead of losing by one because of that)

And all the lakers did was play incredibly aggressively because they knew they didn’t have bigs to stop AD and Rui and Lebron and Austin Reeves aggressiveness. Only big they had was Looney and he wasn’t gonna get fouled out by half time so he didn’t try to attempt to block shots. Casuals like you don’t know or understand nuances like that so you just look at free throw numbers and think refs rigged it because you don’t understand the depth of the game and don’t understand why the warriors lost the series. The Kings missed a lot of free throws in that game 7 too. Then Peja Stojakovic missed that wide open 3 that was an air ball 🏀. But one thing is for sure Mike Bibby and the Kings were better than when White Chocolate was on the Kings.

I remember Game 5. Shaq had one free throw attempt (which he, of course, missed) despite getting fouled the entire game. The officiating in Sacramento for that game was terrible. If anything, Game 6 in Los Angeles was a “make up” game. It’s an explanation, not an excuse.
