- What's the difference between Kraft Singles and Velveeta cheese? Which one is better on top of a smashburger? We put these two cheeses up against one another to see if we could tell the difference between the two on some Oklahoma smashburgers.

I recently tried the Velveeta and I prefer the Kraft singles, as I found the Kraft to be a bit cheesier. The Velveeta was overpowered by the beef and onion. Great videos, keep'em coming!

Your smash burgers always look mouthwatering great, but due to stacking them so high, you always get messy after the taste test :)
As for the cheese, personally I am an evil cheese snob; I usually make my burgers with actual emmental or gouda or mozzarella slices. But my all-time cheeseburger favourite is the almighty Raclette, the king of melted cheese.
You should try the smash burger with thin raclette slices, beef+raclette is a great taste combo!!!

Canadian Velveeta is not real Velveeta. I'm Canadian, but lived in the states. It's totally different.
Velveeta is not allowed in our house. Shullburg extra sharp cheddar on smashburgers.

It’s “salt and pepper TO taste”. It add as much as you like. So many people have different salt and pepper preferences so it’s become a common term.

@@Onibaka Yes, Deli Deluxe has more fat and calories than Singles (80 calories and 7 grams of fat versus 60 calories and 4 grams of fat), but you'll also get a lot more mileage out of one slice. ... Not only is Deli Deluxe more substantial than Kraft Singles, it also tastes better and is of a higher quality.
Kraft singles do not qualify for the US FDA Pasteurized Processed Cheese[4] labeling. For this reason Kraft labels them Pasteurized Prepared Cheese Product to avoid FDA sanctions.
