I did leave a bullet pointed comment noting the many things I noticed symbolism wise in this music video as there is *a lot* but it's quite long and I'm not really sure how many people actually care what's going on to that extent lol but I will just repost it here as is since you asked maybe it will help:
things I noticed:
- 0:04 The book next to Geon's feet is Darwin's Theory of Evolution.
- 0:08 they're reaching for the stars, but it turns into reaching for one of the other members hands.. They are the stars/are made of the stars ? (Humans scientifically are actually made of the stars as stars create elements and stars are all atoms, we wouldn't exist without the stars)
"This constant reprocessing of everything is called galactic chemical evolution,' Ashley says. 'Every element was made in a star and if you combine those elements in different ways you can make species of gas, minerals, and bigger things like asteroids, and from asteroids you can start making planets and then you start to make water and other ingredients required for life and then, eventually, us.' - Planetary scientist Dr. Ashley King
because of this I think the devices they made are trying to connect back to where they (and we all) come from; the stars. It seems they are trying to harness that power and evolve (darwin)
- This also seems to relate to the word Stardust which means: 'a feeling or impression of romance, magic and ethereality.' This is captured very well in the video and this is what the whole video and song feel like and sound like. (There is also an impression that 1 or more of them may have died and maybe are in an in between place/limbo or purgatory as there is a lot of heavenly and angel imagery separate from the galaxy and nature imagery. But it seems to be in a peaceful way like a Harry Potter empty, all white train station way lol as in you could choose to just stay there forever or choose to either go back or pass on.)
- 0:32 usually in cartoons or other media birds flying around the head are a symbol of someone that hit their head but it doesn't have to be birds, stars, cars etc. are also used, in this case it seems to be butterflies. Butterflies also have many symbolic meanings which directly relate to the themes in the video such as rebirth, a representation of the human soul, connection with nature and metamorphosis (which would tie back in to Darwin & evolution). Yuki hit his head at least twice in Ride the Vibe and seems dazed but not in distress or pain (he could have gotten a concussion and is now in a coma or limbo between life and death.) He is also walking barefoot through the grass. being barefoot can symbolize many things in dreams; if you are walking barefoot on glass, mud, or sand it has a negative meaning subconsciously. If the dreamer seems peaceful walking barefoot it represents that they are "grounded, connected with mother nature, and recharging their energy."
- 0:09 a drop of water (I believe representing the influence of nature) lands on Geon's forehead in the same spot that the third eye is located. The third eye represents mysticism, insight, the ability to observe and feel energy and auras beyond regular sight, clairvoyance, the ability to sense something before it happens and out of body experiences. Once the water hits his third eye he wakes up and has ability and insight he didn't have before and starts to practice (white) magic.
- 0:36 Yuki is (literally) losing his marbles here😅
- They keep switching and taking each others place/mirroring each other, but only while falling and only with Yuki ? like in RTV
- When Tomoya looks through the magnifying glass he appears to see themselves. The spotlight around them is a perfect circle, the same shape of the magnifying glass. I don't think the magnifying glass being stylized to have glitter on it is an accident; the MV is very sleek they could've just used a regular silver one or even a blue one to match the color scheme. I think the indication is that through this he can see magical things.This scene also reminds me of the seeing stone in the movie Coraline, where you can see the truth/things unseen through a blessed or magical artifact.
- They appear to be dancing in the void of the universe ? We can see colors here on earth because the sun shines on earth and it is scattered onto something concrete (the earth). but if you were to try to hypothetically look out from a star (the sun is a giant star) you would only see pitch blackness, like what is behind them (1:12) So they could be on a star or another planet.
I think overall it has a deep meaning connecting to space and the universe, atoms, physics etc. (that's why they keep playing with a marbles physics set)
- 2:05 & 3:27 Geon seems to be in charge of this magic as he got the insight first; he does it first, then they follow after. They appear to be practicing White Magic. The definition of White Magic is: 'magic used only for good purposes.' We see them healing each other (when Seita blows on Haru's hand) and making plants and flowers grow. "White magic has traditionally referred to the use of supernatural powers or magic for selfless purposes.[1] Practitioners of white magic have been given titles such as wise men or women, healers, white witches or wizards...White magic is the benevolent counterpart of malicious black magic." This really fits with them because they are all very selfless and loving.
- 2:17 Haru squeezes some sort of magic substance on the bush of flowers, then it appears to come alive ? (plants are alive but alive alive) and grab at one of their legs.
- 3:31 the marbles seem to be spinning/rotating similar to the way the planets do in the solar system. at 2:03 you would have to slow it down to see, but there are exactly 7 marbles, in different colors and there are 7 members.
- forgot to mention the bubbles everywhere but bubbles by nature last a very short time and so usually symbolize the briefness of life or transience, creation, illusion, passing over, spirituality, etc.
I love when people do my homework for me 👍😂 There is definitely connections between this and RTV.

idk maybe it's to represent their ying and yang, in rtv they seem to have some kind of destructive magic wreaking havoc and in starlight they're using white magic healing and controlling plants and stuff
Omg that's so brilliant. I'm sure there is a connection between RTV and Starlight, both have different concept song-wise but I'm sure it is the same storyline and universe, because in both mvs they have magic or supernatural powers, but the difference is that in RTV they are causing chaos and damaging things with their power, but here in starlight they are helping the nature to grow and bring more life to it, idk if that implies that there are two different versions of the boys, like the bad villain version and the healers and good version? Pretty similar to ive concept in Accendio song, there were also 2 versions of ive @@dizdude897
