I mean it just makes sense for a LB to play running back, ya know?! It’s like a DB who plays/played WR. It just helps to know and understand the mindset of the position you have to defend or go up against.

Chris Spielman was also an FB in HS. Fullback/LBders used to make the best blockers because they crave the violence and they knows what it's like to get smoked stepping up in the gap trying to make a play.

Cy Park (Tex.) linebacker Harold Perkins is a Louisiana native and has been spending a good deal of time in the state training as of late. After breaking out last summer, Perkins shot up the rankings and LSU is in contention here. Texas A&M is the 247Sports Crystal Ball favorite, but it appears this recruitment could get wild. Alabama, TCU, Texas and others are all pushing hard for him.
Expect LSU to get Perkins on campus at some point this summer for an unofficial visit and the Tigers are pushing the playing time, need and more on him as a pitch. Over the last month or two, LSU's position has improved. He'll be a tough land, but buckle up for this one.
