The accent back then was really nice unlike todays swearing plastic types. Funny thing is the kids today get jobs no matter their personalities. Wonder how Eddy’s doing -seemed like a decent boy.
I can't believe what I'm seeing 😮 me and Karen were class mates !! And the school is St Swithins Secondary Modern was on croxteth Hall avenue, it's easy to see things back then thru rose tinted specs, but it was pretty hard to get a job for kids then , I used to work on the scrap for 6 quid a day ! Karen whererver you are in the world, I hope you're all well and happy , maybe one day we may bump into each other, as I'm still in Liverpool 😊
Heartbreaking really . I left school in 1977 and following a couple of jobs in town , went and worked in Torquay for a couple of seasons and then Bournemouth. Realising the limitations of such endeavours …. I enrolled upon a government training course in carpentry and joinery in slough and from there , was placed with a joinery firm to complete my training. Been a joiner ever since ….and returned back home with a trade under my belt and have provided a living for myself and my family ever since . Guess I was lucky really …..
Hi Scouse Times. I don't know how you source your material but around 1974/75 I was featured on bonfire night dancing around a bonfire on Granada Reports or North West Tonight. It was filmed on Prescott St opp. The Royal. I've never found footage of it. If you come across anything relating to bonfire night 74/74 maybe as late as 1976 could you post it👌 I was wearing a 6 million dollar man tshirt and duffle coat..🙂👌🍻👀

1976 this was made and not 1980a.
And thats why people sell drugs .... that music takes me back.
I pray God blessed Eddie and Karen trying so hard. Anyone know what became of them?
All the jobs sent out of the country. Sad 😔

Before YTS. YTS was the best thing ever. It worked.
What a fine young man Eddy is, wonder how he turned out in the end.
Some of them are still looking now😂🤣
Even with the heavy employment problems the world was nowhere near as bad as now! I feel envious of the past....
Not much work in De Pool in Dem days that's true
But a lot of Shaggin so all good 🤣🤣🤣🤣
