Thank you bigdog! Enjoy them all.
Excellent repair! It was a pleasure to watch.
Hands down best tutorial for these models of TVs I got it on my first try thank you so much going to like and share
Thank you SO MUCH!! I was just able to fix my nieces TV with a spare part that I had! I really appreciate this video!
Same problem in this 32inch philips.. you just saved me a bunch of aggro! Thanks for the vid!!!!
Good Job Big Dog 👍
Damn!!! One little teeny micro cap on the main video board, causing the whole dang TV set to completely fail. Way to go Mister!!!!!
just picked up the 26" version for a karaoke monitor for $4.00 heard the squeal Googled it got your video and with in 1/2 Hour of doing what you showed Boom, its working. Thanks for being very described in your title and your work
What did you do? Did you already have parts to fix it that fast??
Thanks for the info, at least now I have a starting point to try and fix my set.
Excellent knowledge on this issue! Thank you for sharing. Big Dog fo real!
Thank you i just fixed a 50" t.v. my wife found on the side of the road. 😄
nice job man...
Excelente video muy bacano desde cali colombia
I had a similar shorted cap problem on a Dell Lattitude D820 laptop years ago. There were a lot of those little caps, though on the same line around that motherboard, I got it on the 3rd or 4th try. When I plugged the power supply brick into the laptop it would make the green light go out.
Grabbed a 46 in from my neighbors moving out last night. Plugged it in and beep beep beep,no power.... Looked it up,was told the main board power supply EVERYWHERE I looked... 12.99 for a flat screen... Freak yes!!!!😂🤫
Useful video
Holy shit... id never have the patients but was cool to watch. To little of parts for this guy... So actually you can fix this shit..cool.. Hate throw away society! Nice Job!
I could use you right now man!
I have this exact same problem with this model of tv hopefully i can fix it.
Where can I find other capacitors online that are similar to the one that’s shorted?
I Googled C3214 capacitor and I can't find one that looks like that part you took off. What should I Google to find that part?
Can someone tell me how many led strips is in the 39" emerson tv?
Muchas gracias por este gran aporte.
what is the part called? i need to replace two on my board but cant find the part
Excellent video big dog, I have a 43 8nch magnavox with same high pitch noise, except I disconnect the ribbon and the noise continues, could it be that the power supply board is bad? Thanks in advance!
Yes, check for a Shorted Diode towards the top of the PS board or just replace the Board
Does it work on a 46ME313V/F7
Would be helpful if you had started by explaining what setting you were using on your meter. I'm assuming continuity, but some people aren't familiar with all the settings on a meter and some meters are different. Overall very helpful though.
Nice video bigdog, love your channel. Hey I have a question for you, maybe you have run across the model tv, its a Mitsubishi LT-55164. Wont turn on at all, all I hear is a click on the power supply board. I took the back cover off and noticed a blinking red light on the LED driver board. I'm thinking maybe bad power supply board but not 100% sure. Thanks
Is there a Green Standby light blinking on the Front of the TV? If it is then U got a mainboard issue. Usually bad SMD Capacitors. If its not then you'll have to take your chances.
Yea there's a blinking green light on the front. Thanks for the prompt input
No, But I think theres a repair service on Ebay. Just get the part number off of the board and try to order it on Ebay, then see what comes up.
Yeah I saw that, bit pricey ($90) I will look into that. Thanks again my friend
Where do you get capacitors??
what type of capacitor was that you removed, and what type did you put back.
i believe i need one of those things. the tv i have does the same thing.
Emerson LF391EM4F .
i want to fix it, but not purchase new boards.
if you can remember it.
thank you
have a magnavox model 39ME313V/F7, serial# DS3A1348145370 (A3ATFUH). No power but no sqealing noise either. Help
Does it matter what kind of capacitor it is if it looks like the same size? I am trying to find where to buy a capacity for this, but I don't know what the capacitor is rated for.
How much do you charge to fix my 24’ aoc L24H898? Getting this high pitched sound from the biggest coil on the power supply board. There’s no power, no lights just the noise when I plug in
LOONI BEATS Learn how to use a soldering iron, the multimeter, and do as Mr. Big Dog did here whenever you got the time. You’ll be proud of yourself once you fix it. I’ve seen too many of these videos, and learned how to fix some (not all) issues with some TVs and monitors. All of my TVs were once roadside trash.
Hey bigdog how are you brother? have another TV question for you. I have a Sony KDL-46V5100 TV that has no picture. As soon as I plug it in I hear a click noise from the power board and the green led light turns on, but no backlight and no picture, then in about 5 seconds it turns off and repeats the click noise led light on in an infinite cycle. I noticed the only time the green LED light stays on is when I unplugged the Tcon board, but I'm not 100% sure if its a tcon issue or a main board issue.
Thanks in advance for the input
Could be T-Con. But just to make sure, Fully plug the T-con board back in the TV then check for any shorts (especially those little brown capacitors). If so, then unhook only the Panel ribbon connectors to see if the short goes away. If it does then you know what that means! LOL
Pretty sure I just found the Problem with the Magnavox 50ME345V/F7 it was C3208 & C3209... I believe the reason for this is a power surge, there are no fuses in these TV's anymore, so make sure and use a surge protector in the future. Mine, No! My Friends... I have a surge protector and battery backup!
I have the same model 39ME313V/F7 The TV powers on for about 6 seconds and then shuts off. What should I check?
@@bigdog8882 yes sir... My biggest problem is not having the tools. It'll turn on for about 6 seconds, then the TV makes a clicking noise right before shutting off. I've taken the back panel off. I can hear a slight squealing noise coming from the mother board. I did what you did and unplugged the strip from the motherboard and it stopped so I'm thinking issue lies there just as you said. I just need the tools to know where to go from there.
OK so i check all diodes, its all ok, that section with the coil and caps on the main is all unpopulated. What my tv dose is when you plug it in, it buzzes/hisses while it powers up for 5 seconds then shuts off with a pop from the speakers. I check the voltage rails and when the tv shuts off, it looses half the voltage then eventually turns on again and cycle continues.
Man I'm surprised that you haven't had LF501EM4F on here yet no power just beeps on ps searches pull up a bad smd capacitor & diode replaced 3214 still nothing
I have a Magnavox BA4G25F0102 1 i chance the power suply the fuse the diodos transistor MOSFET regulatorio and don't power online and the MOSFET Enter un curt, i Think need more working.
What if it gets stuck on 100 everything else works tho
I have this same problem. Not sure I am qualified to fix my own lol
O K
Thank you!
Good tutorial....was kind of wanting to see the short reading on the tiny Capacitor. I guess I can catch it at a later time. Enjoyed the background music, too. That's pretty neat reading those diodes and them letting you know there's a short. How something so tiny cause such a short. Thanks for the training session.
No problem. Thanks for watchin
