Cockle clam collect and cook Oregon Coast

  • Went out in hopes of getting some crab and came home with Cockle Clams. People have been asking for catch and cook, let us know if you want more.
    Recipe:
    cooked clams in a cup of white wine, 3 tbsp butter, couple cloves of crushed garlic. clams are cleaned and chopped and added to sauce.
    *Make sure to not over cook the clams. as soon as they open get them off heat and start cleaning and chopping.
    Sauce:
    mushrooms to your liking
    2 bell peppers
    1 onion
    3 cloves of garlic
    1 tbsp flour, 2 tbsp butter (you can change how thick you'd like it)
    over a cup of heavy cream (more or less to your liking)
    salt and pepper to taste
    about a handful of fresh shredded part and Romano cheese
    about 1/2 a cup of the clam wine juices
    French bread toasts for dipping
