You didn't mentioned the category like sedan or suv or hatchback. Let me suggest you some good vehicle in all 3 categories. SUV: Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Brezza Lxi or vxi variant, Hyundai Exter. Sedan: Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Aura. Hatchback: Maruti Suzuki Swift or Baleno, Hyundai Grand I10 Nios.

Its TSI engine is next level but won't give good mileage plus the evident turbo lag at low rpms. Not so good for city rides. Even Syros 1 litre turbo engine will have same issue. Turbo engines are best for highways. If your maximum run is in city go blindly for Brezza as its buttery smooth, spacious, fuel efficient and low service cost. So you will need to note down your priorities: if maximum city run then look no forward to Brezza. If lot of highway run and could compromise on city mileage and turbo lag then Kylaq is a fantastic option. And if you really need a roomy feeling with turbo engine then Syros is heaven as its tall boy design. If I were to choose I will go with Kylaq because I am a driving enthusiast and don't drive much in city.

You are spot on with your views on Skoda Kylaq. You have to be God blessed or Lucky to own a trouble free Car for 5-8 years. Their Spares & Labour Charges will always be higher than competition. At the same time Spares Availability is also a problem.
80% parts are manufactured in india & so maintenance is not that much high. If you follow some best practices to maintain turbo engine, it will be highly reliable. Its is same for other turbo engines also.
@abhikulkarni5346 Agreed 80% are localised but when you compare with competition they are expensive. MT Gearbox Owners have lost clutch plates in 10,000 kms & replacement cost is ₹20-25,000. Skoda does not sell single headlight assembly you got to buy pair. That's what I call an open loot since there is no options available in the market. Whereas with Maruti & Hyundai you can buy them single & that too at half the price. In India collisions do happen quiet oftain because of unruly driving conditions. Hence headlights, Rear lights, Bumpers, etc........ gets damaged & if they are expensive than only God save the VW-Skoda owners. But let the top bosses say they are over Engineered Cars for India. Agreed better than competition but to be honest they are offered with Quality compromise in overall interior materials, AC,...... . Many owners who bought Kushaq after the launch experienced lot many issues & problems EPC, AC shutting off in traffic, shagging roof or ceiling lining, door rattles, creeking noise from dash,...... Etc. Top Boss claims of over engineering is all bull shit. No match with the earlier Cars Polo, Vento & Rapid. Yes I do agree you got to maintain your Car as per manual only than it will last long. But I am more concerned with availability of exterior spares if it gets damage at no fault of yours. Recently in Vadodara, Gujarat a Kushaq owners Sunroof once opened remained open & could not be shut. Skoda Service Stn delivered the Car after 25 Days. As they could repair nor the spares was available. Eventually they replaced the sunroof after lot of Complains & efforts. My Qs Why invite troubles. Instead would advice should always wait for 2 years. Let them iron out all there defects, problems & issues from customers complains.
People looking for high mileage should opt for CNG cars. I wont suggest Diesel because of government strict norms on pollution. For petrol, this car offers the best in class mileage. 1. Bumper to bumper traffic 8-10 kmpl 2. City traffic 12-14 kmpl 3. Highway 17-22 kmpl

All sub 4m cars have cramped rear seat be it Brezza, 3XO, Sonnet and others.
Brezza and 3XO doesn't have cramped rear seats. Even forthcoming Kia Syros will have great rear seat experience.
