Heres my team I use to beat him
Gmax toxicity
Zacian
Rapid form urshfu
Inteion
Charizard
And dawn wings necroma
Sorry for my bad English iam Chinese
Good video!
Eae não e só americanos que vem teu canal!!!!!
Epic..!!
It’s worth noting that his trainer card says he retired from the champion role. For all we know, we’re the first trainer to beat him when he was going all out in battle
His league card said he went on a losing streak after his partner pokemon died
@@blastchaos4286 Poor Mustard. One of the more sadder Pokemon Game moments
@@ghastly17 yeah Guzma, and N had it really hard also
The Cactis yeah, my mistake misread/misremembered the card.
@@blastchaos4286 exactly, so he wasn't at full power
I think Mustard is my new favorite character in Sword and Shield now-
Me too
Me too ;y
Same, he know how to fire up the crowd better than Leon!
I mean doesn't say much really all the others except maybe bede are bland
@@ontos8534 Klara gang
I absolutely loved fighting Mustard. The best part is the music. The music itself starts when HE starts. If you keep him on the battle pose, those drums will keep playing until you press the A button for him to proceed.
I like that he also has the logo that leon had on his uniform
@Dhruv Patel The question is if it's the Symbol of being the Champion, or of Mustard's Dojo.
Mustard was a Champion 50 years prior to this game... he became Champion after he beat Fairy Gym Leader at that time
I REALLY love this battle so much! It's so epic but also filled with a lot of determination and so much more!
That comeback from Mustard was near deadly to you sir.
From 5-2 to 5-5 was an insane comeback.
Yeah Zacian kinda bailed him out lol
Is it just me? Or it's just that Urshifu looks like a Galar Form of Ursaring🤔
\○/
@Connor Murphy What a shock. They're all bears.
@@blastchaos4286 beartic
I knew it looked familiar
I wish the trainer had that champion outfit that mustard was using, mustard is the strongest out there and theres no denying it
Cynthia, red
Iris, getchis, cintia, red, Steven
Laureano Mikulić getchis? Cintia? Did you mean ghetsis and Cynthia
@@thetruegamer194 Can you tell me where can cynthia and red be seen in Sw/Sh?
Jay Almerol he said the strongest. He never specified which game
I *LOVED* the final battle with Mustard! I picked Rapid Strike form of the gift pokemon in my Pokemon Sword copy.
Idk which that is but i picked the dark one
It's the Water type one where it looks Blue when Gigantamax.
Kubfu and Urshifu smh
@@pef_v6107 It's The Dark Type One Where It Looks Red When Gigantamax.
I chose single strike for shield and road strike for sword.
imagine if he used Full Restore and dynamaxed Komo-o after that 2x clangorous soul...
Mustard: " boo beep boo beep, it's time for me to sweep."
He should have full restored it, smart move.
Ngl the AI would be going hard in that instance.
Battle was way more epic than I expected it to be. Tip: Add some more epicness by sending out your gmax urshifu against his!
I did that, didn’t go too well
@@colfdralegend Guessing you chose the Single Strike version, didn't you?
@@Netherwolf6100 yeh
I did With the water version and to add more epicness his urshifu attacked with his g max dark move then I ko’d him right after with the water one
Fun fact, Singe Strike Urshifu is weak to fighting because of it’s dark typing, so you can use STAB max knuckles if you chose the Rapid Strike Urshifu!
I love how two out of three instances in which you get a Legendary in this game, another character gets the one as well.
This battle is epic!!!...
YES!!!
You two are brazilian right?
Because i am as well
Real!
This honestly felt more like a champion battle then Leon.
I mean, Leon is no slouch either.
Story wise, this make sense since Mustard was the Former Galar Champion and he only grew with experience from there.
LucarioShirona X i know Leon isn’t any old weak trainer, I just think Mustard pulls off a champion persona better. I personally found his team to be around the strength, or just slightly stronger then Leon.
@@Mark-nx8wi I think that maybe because Leon's outfit is the result the sporting nature of the Galar Pokémon League. Uniform and Sponsorship and very apparent when looking at Leon's outfit. That is probably why Leon doesn't exactly scream 'Champion' compared to others.
Leon’s battle was great too. His Charizard has a great coverage!
The problem is that people usually fills their Pokémon with Exp Candies to the Lv. 100 before face him.
But try to face him around it’s Pokémon level! It is a quite a challenge!
@@pedromonteiro2248 That's not what a persona means though
Damn, his dynamax/gigantamax animation is freaking awesome
1:05 when did mienfoo evoled
Mustard hinted that something big is coming, something that requires high skills
Probably something related to the Crown Tundra
The Galarian Star Tournament probably
Fun fact:
Mustard was a undefeated for 18 years
Until his Ace died
Honestly Galarian Champions are the definition of "built different"
This reminds me of the reshiram vs zekrom faceoff in black and white
I think Nintendo realized the games were getting way too easy. Because, I dunno if anyone was keeping tabs, buuuut... MIXELI ALMOST LOST THAT. He only had Joker left, and even he wasn't doing so hot!
Kevin Martin i mean he didnt max is pokemon
@@zeynalam4186 he did, he gigantamaxed his urshifu but lost it really early
K. Heromiano no i mean like max the level......
And yet i beat this with my Single Strike Urshifu and my Tyranitar, with Urshifu at level 77 and Tyranitar at level 90. Ultra Necrozma was harder
Mecha Yoshi it is a fucking nightmare
Named Urshifu after Mustard, I love his character, really enjoyed the DLC :)
Would've been so cool if I didn't have a team of lvl 100s.
Still this battle is incredible
Same here. I had a full level 100 team (other than Urshifu)
Why people bringing in lvl 100's rather than a fresh roster? You don't get experience using those mons.
I pulled out lvl 70s even tho i have a bunch of perfect iv 100s. Its just more fun that way alsoo turn off the option to switch when the opponent send out a new pokemon. Doing both of those things actually made this a decently hard fight
@@vinnyf.7506 Yeah People purposeley make the game easy and say "it WaS eAsY."
In my case I still found a ton of enjoyment playing through it, and I knew it would be easier if I went through with 100s, but between me not having anybody at the recommended level, not really feeling like bringing anyone, and not really fiending for a bigger challenge this time around, I was ok with what I brought. All in all, the challenge wasn't what I went in for, and it didn't damper my experience. This DLC was a ton of fun.
like how you made it an actual fight instead of sweeping 6 lvl 100's
Or one level 100 like my Moxie Gyarados. LOL
he didnt even fight level 100 pokemons
Even though I fought Mustard after completing the game, he was still a pretty hard fight, and harder than I expected it to be.
Man I'm glad I picked the water style urshifu, fighting against it looks tough
It is statistically better very slightly even if you don't count darks weakness to fairy being 4x
Like Literally I did the math on their signature moves damage, and single strike does a little more.
@Relativity its not stat spread. Its about rarity of typing and number of weaknesses as opposed to strengths. Rapid is safer, single is more powerful but only slightly due to its raw dmg spread. Therefore rapid is just slightly better even without 4x fairy which is one of the most powerful and common types now. Look at the charts. Many would choose more survivability over a very tiny bit more damage especially considering what is weak vs what is strong to dark.
@Relativity if you wanna get walled by zacian sure
If you match both urshifu the dark type one loses because of the super effective fighting STAB from the water type
I just realised something, you technically battle 2 Champions in a canonically manner since it's a must in the postgame storyline and not optional!
3 technically since Peony was a former champion
I really like you can rechallenge him and avery/klara every day like marnie
Rival shippers
I forgot to give soup to my urshifu for this
If only there was level scaling, could have used my main team instead of building a new team. But man, this guy is GOOD
I actually lost to him on my first 2 tries, but beat him in the end bc of: healing
Fun fact: i beat him with only 5 Pokémon
My team was:
Talonflame
Urshifu (Single Strike)
Blastoise
Scolipede
Slowpoke
An unevolved slowpoke?
Galarian or normal slowpoke?
I beat him on first try with only Water Pokemon.
Shiny Barbaracle
Shiny Gyarados
Urshifu Rapid Strike
Drednaw
Primarina
Sharpedo

Anyone noticed that Mustard's dynamax animation is using Kamehameha from Dragon Ball???? Why no one has noticed that reference???
Seriously, slow down and pause at 8:23
Wait, what if Mustard was one of Master Roshi's students
sorry there was an ad there lol
Player E Oh shit you’ve got a point it kinda does lol
@@splaex01 your right about that part
No...?
Imagine fighting a condiment
Like Ash Ketchum? :E
Mustard is the hardest super boss in the 3d era, sure let's go red had higher leveled mons but he is practically a pushover by the time you reach him. Mustard's team is primarily speedy sweepers with wide type coverage and set ups, that will kick your ass if you aren't careful, unlike the rest of the game he's actually a real challenge.
That damn Urshifu tho
So, Netero is now residing at Galar?!!! Nice!
I want to see another 10.000 fists of gratitude!!!!
8:13 fave part ❤
1:24 That moment when you realize you forgot to heal.
When did mienfoo evolve
Dat music tho,amazing!!!!
This is really epic!!!
That Kommo-o is a beast though
8:22 Master Roshi reference 😂
For more of a distinct advantage, choose Rapid Strike Urshifu. Rapid Strike has an advantage, as Single Strike is weak to fighting types, but water isn't.
Imagine how broken was Mustard's Urshifu if it knows aqua jet. G Max, Max Knuckle twice, maybe 3 and then it spam aqua jet
And holding a choice band @@
BIG OOF
With the rain up
It is seemingly a tradition for Champions to use pseudo-legendaries, and it seems Mustard, being a former Champion, has a Kommo-o on his team. Funny how every pseudo-legendary except Salamence has been used by a Champion at some point in the games now. Other than that, I think he has a pretty cool team, incliding my old fave Luxray no less. I can't wait to face off against him when I buy the DLC.
You're forgetting goodra unless you're not counting the ace of the champions.
@@teen17 Diantha uses a Goodra
Wish they would buff the guy because for a badass looking pokemon like that to have bad stats and be a pure electric type is a crime
Salamence is used by Lance in HG/SS Championship Rematch
Iris uses Salamence in B2W2's challenge mode rematches. Nuff said.
This battle being on Sword and Shield threw me off haha, it might have been because of the team I was using but I found this battle quite tricky!
Mustard really went "I AM HERE!"
8:21: KAMEHAMEHA!!!!
Perfect! Down to the last pokemon.
8:21 He was _this_ close to a Kamehameha.
8:22 *DIE!!!*
Gigantamax
I can’t wait for the new character Ketchup
The trainers should never stay there on the battlefield while Gigantamax forms take place. Never!
Why
@@rickw9291 They could get killed by a max rockfall lmao
This battle is epic.
This guy is no pushover at least if you are in level 70 range most of my Pokémon fainted to him but I still managed to beat him anyway
Behemoth Blade is not very effective on Urshifu
Me: *IMPOSSIBLE*
You forgot about type advantages
Me: Oh yeah
I have no idea how Water resists steel
But makes sense that Electric does
@@notshockwavedemon7543 When exposed to water for a substantial period of time, metal rusts.
@@Oscarus4250 True. That process takes some time though
And to think all it took to make your Pokemon go through a transmutation that makes it the size of a building

Not some sacred trial or tribulation
Or some mystic power
Just mushroom soup....with honey
It gives the soup and smooth flavour
It had some gmax pokemon blood in it to make g max soup
Na it’s just max energy in the shrooms

1: Inteleon
2: Calyrex (didn't even use him)
3: Reshiram
6: Black Kyurem
5: Dawn Wings Necrozma
4: Glastrier (didn't even use it)

Omg Super Cool Battle Keep it up Plz
Why does some parts of the theme sound like it's saying Dio, i love it tho
To me it sounds like they're saying "see ya!"
This is ghetsis and "Dennis" all over again, except this time it's a jojo reference.
You were expecting a condiment man but it was me, dio!
I can’t believe others fucking thought it sounded like dio too since it’s what I was hearing lmao
KONO DIO DA!
ZA WARUDO
That Sucker Punch did work though..
King Bumi energy
Gmax rapid flow looks fuckin dope
And that is why multi strike urshifu is better than the single strike one. If u chose the tower of darkness u will have a disadvantageous battle against the water urshifu compared to the tower of darkness
In Pokémon scarlet that Urshifu constantly beaten my Tera fire type Ogerpon with that water type move, beaten my Galarian Moltres, my kanto Zapdos, my shiny lucario, my Latios and finally even my Psychic and fairy type Gardevoir by attacking first.
That was a close match
Mixeli: Almost Lost to Urshifu Rapid Strike, his Zacian actually Fainted
Me: Wins in 3 Minutes with G-Max Urshifu Rapid Strike and Zamazenta.
Je l'adore, ils ont mis le paquet. :)
Sure I used all Lv 100's, but only three: Inteleon, Corviknight, and Boltund.

Edit: now why would one dislike such an awesome video
Someone saw this comment wanted to trigger u mayb

It was over 9000!!!
Is your Pokémon named Joker after Joker from Batman or Joker from Persona 5?
This battle theme wouldn't be out of place on a SC game
Why did you name the golisipod Guzma?
Edit: started realizing how close that battle was when I started paying attention mid way through. If the SP didn’t kill you would have probably lost.
His Komo-o is the wild card of his team. Could ruin your life if not smart about it
I thought mustard would have a team full of fighting type.
He's smarter than that, he got coverage for his Fighting types

this looks too sharp and clean. is it emulated?
So since you beat Mustard, does that make you a Master?
That's why one of Mustard's students calls the protagonist "Master Newbie" (which is ironic).
Tried to challenge myself and brought a team of pokemon who are only between level 55- 65 and one lvl 80 gyarados. Was a struggle but managed to barely beat him with one pokemon left. It was a really fun battle tho
Nice fight
...
Urshifu uses Shun goku sat.... i mean, Close Combat.
Kung fu Panda 🐼
I got a feeling that cinderace's line is based off a football player
Aww... dude
So leon beat this guy with his whole team 10 levels underleveled? Even when Mustard gets a legendary that guarantees crits?
There is nothing that says they used their current teams when it happened.
Mustard retired long before he ever knew Leon existed and Leon never completed the Master Dojo Trials, therefore Leon has never faught Mustard in a serious battle if they've ever faught at all~
They never faced eachother for real, but in the Galarian star tournament Mustard often rips Leon apart if you let them fight eachother and focus down the other opponent, or at least it usually happens whenever i face either if them with the other in my team. This guy is NOT to be taken lightly! And as far as my tests have proven Mustard is actually better than Leon.
3:17 when did shinx evolve to HER final form
I wonder, who else did G-max Urshifu vs G-max Urshifu?
A lot of people
I used my Rillaboom against his Rapid-Strike Style
@@blastchaos4286, nice, that's smarter than use dark type against fighting type like I did.
Gotta say this is tougher than Leon
Its true he's the one who made Leon become Champion.
@@SoraFan23You made it sound like Mustard pulled the strings behind the League to have Rose make a way for Leon by having other Trainers throw matches, be disqualified, etc.
The truth is that Mustard just trained Leon, not "made him Champion" - Leon won the title by himself.
Does nobody notice Mustard's Hair looks like that of a Hisuian Zorua?
I prefer the Rapid-Style Urshifu for full defense and uses the Gigantamax form!
Yep, single strike is just a copy and paste of Pangoro, also rapid strike has the advantage Cuz there's no weaknesses that Single strike can exploit.
@@rogue1248 Nope is not a copy of pangoro. That like saying rapid strike style is copy of poliwrath.
