If you have to have the volume all the way up to get the subs to flex you don’t have your system tuned properly and are most likely clipping the whole time
@jaz97 out of curiosity, if he were to seal around the box/trunk to where no sound can travel to the trunk, do you would it be louder than with trunk open?
@audioholic850 It could be at certain frequencies, but when it comes to just "loud," so many factors come into play. I never installed a setup like this, but from what I seen you get better results if you seal off the cabin from the truck on forward facing installs
one the hardest pounding, loudest, stereo systems i ever heard was in a 1996 Ford Splash pickup truck. It had 3 JL Audio W3's behind the seats on a soundstream 25x2 amp. Not sure the exact model but i remember it saying 25wattsx2@4ohm. I'm pretty sure he had it configured in 1 ohm and the amp bridged mono so it was a couple hundred watts. the guy carried an electric screwdriver to tighten the trim on the A-pillar so it wouldn't rattle...as much! LOL.
Hello, i want to load my car with 1 sub but idk which one i want to put some good speakers too but dont know which ones and also amplifier can someone help me with decisions ?
Find out the amount of cubic space your wiring with and power planned based on your electrical system set; then you’ll have an answer easiest, check link description for ideas
Love Mike’s system. He rebuilt to a single 18 for slam. Doors are built out now too.
AND HE'S POWERING THEM WITH A SALT 8K?!?!?! My lord

Why is the trunk open at this time? This has a fundamentally wrong effect on the physics of the bass in the car.
With it open the Rear waves dont cancel out the front so its louder But yeah I rather demo it with truck closed.
Amen
Them joints can’t breathe properly with it closed lol
