Scott Kinsey sounds like Joe Zawinul probably because he programmed Joe Zawinul's synthesizers!
He's definitely the only real torchbearer of that style and sound. A true wizard, just like Papa Joe (who is surely missed of course). The human element album is out of this world. Who plays on a level like that nowadays? Very few. (PS: I did not know Scott programmed Joe's synthis, are you sure? I believed Joe did that himself, later with support from his son Ivan).
@@SWH2012 I read that Scott did some programming for Joe but I can't remember the source of the information! Scott briefly mentions programming for Joe in this interview:
