Nice review 👍. My second bottle came with the glencairn and a $58 price tag. A very nice bottle on my bar, no significant negative checkmarks. I like it way more than the Balvenie double wood. You're absolutely right, very similar maturation.
Been a while since I have had one of these but remember it fondly. According to Jason whiskey wise 20% 1st fill European oak sherry butts, 20% 1st fill American oak sherry butts, 60% 2nd/3rd fill ex bourbon barrels. Don't know what Glengoyne was thinking when they did the repackaging. The old label and tube you have there is elegant, classy and looks expensive while the new packaging is meh. Cheers
Sounds like a decent dram, not pretentious, not overly expensive and a good example of the category.
well said! My feelings exactly. Slainte!
Good to hear your views, and this is another one we can agree on. A great bottle and often affordable. Cheers!
I'll be getting another bottle of this one for sure!
This has been hovering around $40 for quite a while here in New Hampshire. Fantastic value at that price.
Great deal!!!

Agreed, they new packaging is not great, but hopefully the juice has remained the same. This is good one indeed!
