The song wasn't buzzing nationally let alone internationally when it came up on Caleon Fox's next song playlist on SoundCloud, and in those days SoundCloud recommendation algorithm wasn't amazing so no "buzz" can be attributed prior other than "similar artists/songs" caleon curated, which he actively did where he'd share niche/obscure songs he was fucking with at the time. He did a looot. That's how Coach K and Q found him, cause as executives after bagging Migo and I think City Girls they were in a space to find more "hipster" / "wierdo" sounds from Atlanta, their words respectively, to accommodate for the indie/new age markets like LA.
