Rich people usually buy multiple houses in different cities, states and countries so I don't find it unusual and question nobody . Kendricks home in LA before this new purchase was in Hermosa Beach. The PG Lang launch and Kendricks new home purchase still doesn't confirm if he moved to NYC on permanent basis.
