Oh yeah that came out nice. That orange and bone white with the original texture looks very thematic. I gotta start incorporating your Newsh technique into my stuff, especially the makeup sponge. I think its what my yellow ork trukk needs to finally look right.
@@Bigtunaproductions09 i like newsh because it works well on larger objects and it gives you control on what kind of wash you want. The makeup sponge is a world of difference

@@Starstrykerx imagine trench crusade being sunshine! Hahahaha what a world! Glad you like it. I did get a wet palette a couple months ago but I still prefer paper plate in certain scenarios. Like contrast paints, very watered down paint, and washes. Also do you clean the wet palette.....sitting water for a long time....is kinda nurglish
While I do really like Newsh, just a basic oil wash is way easier to work with, if you have the time to let it dry. Then again, I have half a drawer of streak and grime variants, so I just use it.
@ That would be great. I think you’ve made it drim dark enough so it’s not so overpowering and the colours you’ve used and how you’ve used them are great.
IIRC, these infantry are mechanized constructs in TC canon, so likely that's a power pack on its back, is my thought. A tank indeed, that thing looks the part! Vaguely Warforged in concept and design, really.

Commissar Nuka: "One THICK coat! Preferably lasgun resistant." I'm playing with enamels, like villany inks - I can't use newsh any longer - it's just not as fun to work with as spirits+enamels. Coverage is just insanely cool, it has this capillary action which is just SO hot. But yeah, makeup sponges are just FAR superior - don't bother with cotton stuff. Wasted so much time trying to make those work.
@@Lanessar8008 enamel are cool but they are also toxic. I like to paint and snack at the same time. I even put my paint brush in my coffee a couple of times. That's why I push for non toxic paints on the channel and show you guys different ways.
@@nukakitten I think you'd be surprised at modern enamels, they are far less toxic depending on your source - and you generally don't have to work with them very long - I was vehemently against oils/enamels until recently, so I understand the concern. I made the switch and it's been eye-opening - but I can completely understand your avoidance. Just wanted to mention them.
@Lanessar8008 i agree but there 2 reasons why. One I'm messy and clumsy. You don't see that part in the video. The second part is if I promote it then i would have to expect everyone to do it properly and if they don't, I don't want that to be on me. Some people 3d printer in their bedroom.....that can't be safe. I appreciate you telling me tho! 😁

@@nukakitten I rinse it out and wring out the sponge thingie from time to time. Never had any issues.
