The more times I watch this film the more I think of it as A Christmas Carol as Kate started off as a scrooge and Tom was her guardian angel.

Is it just me or does anyone else find it sad...? That he died, She got his heart, He helped her to get back her Christmas spirit/Good mood, Probably they both felt in love but she learned he's a ghost... That they never have a real future together or the imagination that they'll never see each other again :/
He will always be there for her.

I knew from the second act that Tom was dead the entire time
1. He wore the same clothes everyday
2. He only showed up when Kate was alone.
3. He'd do these weird dance moves when he passes by people on the street.
4. Kept saying Look Up to Kate.
