Love your take on this video topic. Would be interested to hear what kind of routes are “cash cows” and what things/obstacles make routes different. As for weed; that’s why Amazon made it legal… except for us DOT drivers lol. But now I drive for FedEx. Was never into weed, so it didn’t matter to me. But the turnover at Amazon and FedEx is so bad. I wish I knew what could make it better. Pay? Sure. But personally, smoother routes make all the difference. Not overloading our dang trucks so we can’t even use the walkways to find stuff.
I agree some routes are junk. There are some routes fed ex have for free and no contractor in their right mind would take it. To me the best routes are located in residential areas mainly single family or townhomes. Apartments can be tricky if they have don’t have a concierge or garden style with no elevator. Drivers hate taking a 150 lb mattress up 3 flights of stairs. I don’t like any routes that have a ton of pickups. I also hate routes with shopping plaza or large malls cause that requires a 20 to 26 ft truck with a bunch of packages and hardly any stops.
If all the open routes go to established contractors, how do you get your foot in the door? I was recently laid off from UPS in Denver. I worked in mgmt as an On Road Supervisor. I know the business. Maybe I can work for you and learn what you do. I'll do it for cheap.
Bud, you keep dancing around the question I've asked you numerous times.....Can you identify for me the governing legal authority with the power to make that Fedex contract binding upon Fedex??..In other words...who's going to make Fedex abide by their own contract? The answer is NOBODY! Therefore it does whatever it dam well pleases regardless of contract language....And don't feed me that BS about arbitration...Guess who limits the issues that will be decided by Fedex? Why it's Fedex.....Likewise who reserves the right to choose the people who will comprise the arbitration board? Fedex....Was there ever any doubt? Time you leveled with people regarding the high risks and high potential for heavy losses due to the contractors lack of due process of law because of how FDX structured the contract. Structured in a way that allows FDX to dump as much risk, liability and variable costs onto the contractor while still controlling him in the same way as it does it 's own employees. But that is exactly the reason why Roadway created today's route contractor They've made it abundantly clear that it's not in the business of creating enterprise value for third party individuals.
Ok, so let's give you a go at the question Route Tycoon can't answer.....Can you identify for me the governing legal authority backed by rule of law that grants it the power to make FDX comply with language contained in it's own unilaterally drafted and implemented contract? The language in the contract doesn't mean a thing without somebody with the authority to make it binding not just upon the contractor but FDX as well.
What is FedEx charge me 500 $ to enter Missouri thin charge me to get tire fix and gas to deliver my package so I had to pay 400 $ and now try to get me to pay 500 $to gate way to getin to Missouri it not my fault that what your guyd are sayinh
