i'm going to collect my benelli bn 125 from the dealer this weekend and riding it back home, me and my dad have planned out a route that avoids the main roads and goes through the housing estates so i can really get comfortable on the bike. can't wait
I’m picking up a mutt stravaig 125cc next week ,I’m a driver of 34 years and have great road awareness, however i am nervous because it’s my first bike and my wife thinks I’m having a mid life crisis getting one 😩
@@moedem mid life crisis at 34? 😂😂😂 I’m 48 and my wife’s still employing the old ‘no you’re not’ tactic. She’s gonna have a shock as my mind is finally made up, I’m going for it! Good luck on you’re journey
Lane 3 is my choice as a new 125 rider. However, I tend to get intimidated, not by car drivers, but by other bike riders...usually speeding! I stick to speed limits because 1) it is legal 2) I am trying to train myself to accurately assess speed on a bike. It is not popular with other bike riders, it seems!
It was kinda cool how the GoPro died out but your second one kept rolling. Kinda added to the video to me. Your videos have been helpful, alongside several other creators. Thanks man.
I'm due to do my CBT on Monday and I must admit that I don't know if I now want to learn to ride a motorbike as so many videos talk about accidents, falling off, dropping the bike etc. I fully understand that there are many risks to riding and you have to preempt everything and everyone else on the road to be a safe rider but I want to enjoy the experience of riding around The Dales, where I live, to get out more and explore, I was looking forward to this new adventure but not so sure now.
I would not let certain videos put you off doing your cbt it will be on of the best things you do. I've been riding 7 months myself yes there is alot to think about while riding cars, weather, pedestrians etc but drive like everyone is trying to kill you and you will be safe and enjoy the ride.
Please elaborate, I'm always encouraging viewers to add anything I miss that would be useful to newer riders. I can put your thoughts into new videos, thanks 👍
This is confusing because my CBT instructor and my Das instructor told me to “own your lane and stay in lane 2 so in the middle of the lane but you say lane 3???
Hi, I bought a 125cc Lexmoto on Facebook marketplace and it doesn’t have mirrors, should I get them as a beginner? I’d rather focus on CBT and riding ear first ..
Nope, nope and nope. Again, you’re not an instructor and telling people what you perceive to be as ‘gospel’ is actually more dangerous to newcomers. I don’t normally offer riding advice as my take is that you should seek real instruction from a well established instructor. However, in this case, ‘lane 3’ as you call it (actually position 3) is not to be used at all times. All positions have their uses at different times, situations and speeds etc. But in short, by constantly staying in position 3, especially on a rainy and gloomy eve puts you right into the path of oncoming traffic, it leaves your inside wide open to someone undertaking you and in your case on a multi lane road puts you out of sight in the drivers wing mirror as you overtake. You’re also becoming invisible to cars waiting at junctions by doing this - potentially. As for ‘seeing up the road’ if you hang back, as you should be in wetter conditions, you can achieve the speed limit, leave a suitable gap and see perfectly well ahead without being in position 3. As I say, they all have their uses but not as you’re doing. Never compromise safety for ‘correct positioning’. It’s also worth pointing out to riders that if you are ‘reacting’ to other road users motoring, then you’re probably doing something wrong. The idea is to be adjusted already. This is an ongoing issue with UA-camrs passing their tests and feeling entitled to offer advice that can be totally counter productive. Drivers are not ‘out to kill people’ or ‘do stupid things’. As a rider you must be responsible for yourself and help drivers to help you. People in life will always do things that aren’t in accordance with your idea of things, so you have to just make adjustments for that, be responsible, respect the conditions and respect the machine. In an honestly constructive way, I’d encourage you to seek further training if you really feel the need to pass on advice.
@Hverbpro well said I did my Das last week and both DAs and CBT told me not to stay in position 3 this guy is going to get someone killed causing confusion

especially taxi drivers lol
Really appreciate this video! Just got my first bike, and this was SO helpful. Keep it up bro.

very helpful video! doing my CBT soon and have my eye on a ninja 125
passed ur cbt bro? how did it go. Thinking of taking mine end of month.
Thank you so much for these inspiring videos !! I feel I have learned a lot from them
Can't believe you just admitted on UA-cam that you don't stick to speed limits 😂😂Stay safe
Keep healthy dont ride when you had little sleep or any substances cause u need all the focus when riding.
And most important keep doing skill drills.

You don't usually nod to people on a 125? Why not?
But is a 125 actually capable of getting off the line quickly enough?!
Yea
Sounds odd but a video on rider etiquette for new riders could be fun e.g. Nodding to other rides group riding etc
bro who gaf 💀💀💀
Hey man is there anyway I can contact you I have a few questions about owning a motorcycle, please let me know 🙏
Send me an email: goblinrides@gmail.com

Filtering is illegal here + average eastern european driving mindset makes it risky IMO
Filtering is 100% legal in the UK
@BichaelStevens not in the Uk it’s not I was told in my das
dude we in the uk. Crashes are inevitable.
You too cool to nod 125 riders? How incredibly unfriendly, nice.

Why don't you nod people on a 125? That's not very nice.
