I understand about the ways we spend our day to day lives need reexamination. My take on my life is...keep reading, don't stop. Less social media would be good, no tv (well, maybe just a little), detach from the cell phone, oh that's hard. Be with people, be with Nature. I think a lot of us are evaluating our lives at this moment and how we're spending our time. Whether it's the pandemic or middle-age or some combination of factors, you're definitely not alone. I just came back to BookTube after A YEAR OFF and resolved that the only way I would return is if I put no pressure on myself. No pressure to make a video at certain intervals, no pressure to keep up with every tag or bookish event. Just...no pressure. If you're open to a book recommendation during this time, perhaps check out Four Thousand Weeks: Time Management for Mortals. It goes into a lot of this and I wish it didn't have Time Management in the title because it is so much more than that. Wishing you well, Rick, and selfishly hoping to see you back at some point but supporting you 110% regardless of whether you're back next week, next year, or never.

I was an expat living in China, we had hit the mark of 3 months of lockdown -extreme lockdown. We were running out of food, my neighbour jumped off the building, our pets were dying… it was hell, but you helped me through. Anyways. Hope you found what you were looking for.
