In a display of multinational cooperation and solidarity, soldiers from the US Soldier 173rd Airborne Brigade, known as the Sky Soldiers, joined forces with Ukrainian and Polish Army soldiers for a high-stakes airborne operation over Poland. The mission, conducted at 1,300 feet inside a C-130 aircraft, marked a significant moment in NATO's ongoing commitment to supporting Ukraine's right to self-defense in the face of Russia's unprovoked aggression.

There is a systemic issue, akin to earlier Russian/Soviet excursions- including Poland 1860's, and vs Japan 1904-5 (and sadly including some of our own, of swaggering expansionism while touting Freedom of all peoples). Both may support antagonist government regimes in other countries. Where we differ from RF is in our modus in business; we go to convince markets to align for our revenues. Russia stomps in to grab what it can. In interactions with the natives abroad, I found Russians to be pretty well balanced in their demeanor towards me when shown respect for their sovereignty in their own land. I went from saying 'anglichanyem' to 'americanets' once the guard was down, and we got along superbly. What I see here in the U.S., in years of interactions with them culturally, both expats and visitors, is that the expats verge on rude, bullying steamrolling over anyone not Russian/FSU. Some have Americanized well, and are good friends- but the ethnocentric cells, including violators of Unruh Act for the benefit of their own, and business organizations that will facilitate FSU illegals, as their insiders have shared with me, for their own business' gains, are disheartening to encounter. We see this playing out now; the product of ages of ingrained superiority trip a la Nazism, to the point that other cultures are so unworthy that they are slaughtered categorically. Today's conflict isn't in the same vein as the Katyn massacre, against Polish government functionaries. It's instead a broad, deep arrogance for own as much a hatred for the 'lessers'- who basically amount to the entire non-Russian world. The present conflict is another, hopefully closer to the final, boiling over of tensions with a society still so insular that it cannot conceive of its wrongs against others, that could use a good awakening more than the destructive payback for which it now begs. I'm disappointed by the inevitable loss that RF will endure, but it now deserves.
