LOVED Biden's question to Lester Holt. Every thinking person in America has the same question. Thanks for that clip, Jon, and for this entire video. I am so very glad you are back in the saddle riding for truth, justice and the American Way on TV once again.

It's called "news", not "same old story". Trump doesn't run on telling the truth, while Biden does run on being a competent and sane president.
Instead of saying "but but the other guy" and complaining about media coverage, a more mature response would be "If I am ever incapacitated like you guys fear, I trust my cabinet and VP to fill in for me. I will trust their judgment on if it is necessary, and right now they agree with me that I'm fit for work. I wouldn't expect the same from Trump if he goes further off the deep end.".
Political teams aside, I think most thinking people in America are embarrassed of Biden's public appearances and how he makes our country look. Every idiot politician LIES, that isn't news unless #1 you can absolutely prove it and #2 your network isn't already in their pocket.
Can you explain what Biden was referencing? It sounds like he said something about the "18 to 28 lives he took" but I can't figure out who took those lives or what Lester has to do with it.

My favorite part. She’s so accustomed to being reviled by everyone - she was booed on the House floor by Dems and Republicans alike - that she’s smiling and uncontrollably giddy to finally get cheers after things she says, for once. It’s funny.
I grew up in her district (years before she was elected). It’s full of closet racists and bigots. Example: I went to high school (90’s) with kids that wore shirts with a confederate flag that read “Lee Surrendered, but I didn’t” and a picture of MLK in crosshairs that read “my dream came true”. The district is full of high school drop-outs and we even had a daycare for students kids in my high school. *i thought this was normal until I went off into the Army and told others about this and they told me it wasn’t normal, lol! MTG is a terrible sub-human.

@@HonestTherapistHe wasn’t talking about how it just affected him, he was using his own experience as an example of what many do when tragedy strikes in this country. You would understand his point if you had seen social media after the shooting. You should really reexamine your opinions if you think playing a politicians words and analyzing them is what causes divisions in this country.
He articulates so well the emotions and thoughts felt by so many of us. He's really mirroring what ppl feel, I know he mirrors what I feel at times. Times like these for sure.
I normally don't comment, but I have to say Jon Stewart is one of the most astute and savvy commentators in all news. His observation of social media jumping to conclusions prematurely is spot on. I don't seem to hear any other source on cable making this obvious point. A few weeks back he made the observation that big corps are demonstrating how affirming they are, not in their business models, but by having biracial couples feature in their ads. Spot on. That's the weird duality of man, that someone can be both heroic in some aspects of their lives and absolutely despicable in others. I met Donald Trump while working at a golf course. In person, very friendly, very personable, spoke to the staff politely, well liked by the people around him, and yet i despise everything that he stands for politically. Kind of made sense how he keeps winning over his haters once they meet in person. Same deal as this guy. Despicable stances but probably a decent guy if you never got to really know him.

I would also like to have a talk with Lester Holt. When the Trump trial was going on in New York, _every_ NBC Nightly News started with the trial. Every night, they'd let Trump say the same lies on the air, again and again. I finally got fed up and permanently switched to watching PBS evening news. They were opening with the war in Israel or whatever else was actually important that day.

Guessing Marjorie Taylor Greene was basically unable to smile convincingly, and unable to hold a smile, so they coached her, told her to think of something funny enough to giggle about for a bit, and she was doing that each time she "smiled" but had to giggle out loud to keep the smile in place.
