Great video. For Nigeria to work the way Nigerians see the fiscal side of governance needs to change. Government subdivisions and institutions need to generate their own money. We doomed this country to failure when we started sharing allocation money because we made public office attractive to the sort of people who just want to control that money. Unless we change our fiscal structure it is not possible for Nigeria to work.

I'm Nigerian and quite frankly don't know if i'm proud to be one.
I will say one thing. I believe Nigerians work hard to achieve a lot which we see with Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Victor Osihmen, damini ogulu AKA burna boy and many more.
However, the one thing that has made sure Nigeria remains poor is that we don't do "governance" well and don't have courage( interest) or even patriotism to hold anyone accountable.
The wicked political elite take advantage of the above and rule as they please. For these obvious reasons, don't be fooled there is no realistic hope for Nigeria or even sub-saharan africa as a whole. Most people just want to run out of africa and make money abroad, afterall we are only human.

Instead of coming out to protest, the people of Nigeria should sit at home. I believe it is even more effective. Why? For these reasons:
    1. If people come out, the government "dogs" will be ready to kill them, but let everyone drop their tools and have a good time with their families, government will lose.
    2. That will be a good show of solidarity with the igbos who are already sitting at home. It can mean that everyone is staying home for different reasons. That will inform the government to solve everyone's problem. If government becomes selective, it will be clear.
    3. Staying at home will prevent those who are waiting to hijack the protest to commit crimes like arson, burgling, murder, etc.
Unless those who are organizing the protest have other motives they don't want to tell us about, this idea is a no-brainer.

The United States lured Nigerian leaders to borrow money from the Federal Reserve and gave them commissions. In the end, the leaders received high commissions and Nigeria acquired huge debts until the debt exceeded the income and the economy collapsed. After Nigeria gained independence from the old colony, it became a new colony again.

  • @Danorous
    @Danorous 2 місяці тому +1

I cried after watching this video. My old family told me how great Nigeria was back then. I see people saying stop blaming the British for Nigeria's problems. First of all this video is highlighting how Nigeria's problems started. And there are 2 evils to fight for Nigeria to move forward. The west who refused to hand off from Nigeria's affairs and the Nigerian political class who is holding our nation hostage. I also see some people insulting those who call upon God for help. First of all if you don't understand the call of God for help then keep quiet. Calling for God's help is called divine intervention, mercy is to obtain divine mercy for direction and divine instructions. The Bible says unless God watches over the city the guard man watches in vain. In the Bible God appointed Joseph second ruler of Egypt and Egypt prospered. God appointed king David and later king Solomon to be the king of Israel respectively and Israel prospered. Calling for God's help means God giving us a leader to lead us. Someone after his own heart. Everytime you vote in your own leader they fail you or the election is rigged. When smart people voted Peter Obi some people said they wanted Tinubu and we can see the results today. Nigeria needs nothing more than God's divine intervention. Simple

I think we surrender ourselves to poverty. A growing industrial nation gradually turned to begger country living in the midst of plenty yet her citizens is dying of hunger.
I can remember some of this things and relate with them. Look at China today, competiting with the US in everything. That should be our place too. Some one came with vision 2020 and that seem to be the only time Nigeria remember who she was untill new political class came to worsen the whole things and the vision became mirrage. Change for nothing is the message they brought to us not knowning that they are all the same.

Nigeria was destroyed by hared on Biafrans due to envy and jealously on igbos/Biafrans.Britain, Yorubas and north has agreements to hate Biafrans and keep them as slaves despite the fact that igbos are the Best country builders and real Nigerians. Now too late to recall them

Through mercy obtained God is granting you help by giving you directions, divine intervention and helping you to succeed. By mercy God will choose the right leadership for you. Always trying to attack when one turns to God

Did the video tell you that he is blaming the British?. The video clearly explains to you how Nigeria's problem started and yes that is number one blame. And he is telling you that the west is still involved in our politics. That's number 2 blame in which he is right. We need to fight that evil then begin to fight the mess we too as Nigerians have created and still creating. The west are still very much involved in our affair till date. They haven't left even if we have independence.

Your documentary is timely. However, let us stop blaming the British colonialists, for all our problems .It is mow 80 since they left and gave Nigeria “INDEPENDENCE”. All colonialists came to Africa to steal. They accomplished their mission successfully. Nigeria discovered oil in the 1950s, but how much has that resource benefitted the masses? The land in the Delta region where the oil pipelines pass, has been polluted beyond use. No compensation paid to the poor farmers. The elite thereafter stole oil revenues and put their ill-gotten wealth into the former colonizers’ banks, in Europe and America. Who is to blame? In the 1960s Nigeria was richer than China. Now it is China which is giving loans to Nigeria. In the 1970s, the Naira was stronger than the US dollar. Today, one USD buys 1,500 Naira. The lack of integrity and discipline, has ruined the economy of Nigeria. Majority of young men and women want to escape Nigeria and go live in other peoples ‘
countries. This is why Nigerians are everywhere on this planet. But if the young bright professionals leave, who will ever build Nigeria? To avoid total collapse of Nigeria, you haave to “put your money where your mouths are”. Nigeria is like a patient in an Intensive Care Unit. Large scale surgery must be performed right now, fort the patient to survive. Stop wasting money on unproductive, parasitic, incompetent politicians, whose only skill is to engage in loud talk. Cut their salaries and benefits by 50%and use those funds to pay good salaries to teachers, nurses, doctors, the police force .A senator has 10 cars, but a doctor cannot even afford a motorcycle, ooh! Build government free housing estates, for accommodation of essential workers. Do not buy new planes or yacht for leaders. Copy the economic models of countries like, Singapore, Malaysia, China etc... How quickly they developed Forget Western models. Invest in high quality educational institutions so that your students do not need to go study abroad, paying billions in tuition fees. The problem of Nigeria is not lack of money. Corrupt officials once caught, must be punished, imprisoned and their assets confiscated by the state. Take a leaf from the China experience. They even had to execute some people for corruption.

I only read half of your written, but you have to understand the system they designed, did you listen to the part where Jonathan was speaking, if they can select government for us why they can help the government to make good decisions? Basically they don't want the government to do so, because if it do, they gonna feel it in the next century they do everything for our children to become rascal, terrorists, they can work with those, and hardly work with the educated ones, the government we have in west Africa are all terrorists
