It just breaks my mama heart that my son and his wife had to go through that, He is a Marine stationed in California this was their first baby.

What should have taken less than half an hour because it was an assumption took almost two hours because my husband had to read every word of every document including the abstract which went back to land grants from the King of England and wills. One will was prior to the War between the States and named all the slaves, their jobs, value, and who they went to. Years later when I made real estate my career I made sure my clients knew what to expect prior to walking into closing and provided documents for them in advance. In all my years I only had one person still skim over things at closing.
