DANGEROUS WALL DEMOLITION PART 1

- IN THIS VIDEO ME AND AL ARE ON A DEMOLITION JOB. IT IS A VERY OLD ORIGINAL FRONT WALL BUILT FROM CLAY COMMONS ON THE BACK WITH ENGINEERING BRICKS ON THE FRONT. IT HAD TERACOTTA HALF ROUND COPINGS SOME OF WHICH WERE TOO DAMAGED TO RE USE.
IT WAS VERY EASY TO JUST PICK APART , NO HAMMERS OR CHISELS NEEDED. WE PILED THE BRICKS UP TILL OUR SKIP ARRRIVED THEN LOADED THE SKIP UP....ENJOY

That looks like a nice little job in between all your other jobs...busy hard working lads👊 You know how to fill a skip too!!
Cheers Chris , yeah we were waiting for scaffolding on site so we fitted this one in for a relative and Alex picked the skip stacking up quickly 👌🏼🧱👍🏼
Nice to see a clean job site left 🏴
Cheers Gerard 👌🏼🧱👍🏽
Top work on the bare hands demolition. Loved the high speed bit where you lined the skip with bricks. Hope those nice round copings go to a good home. Look forward to the re-build.
cheers John , the copings is are in the garage waiting to be put on e bay 🧱👍🏽
Nice one Steve & Al , look forward to the re-build.
Cheers pal , Friday 8.30 pm 👌🏼🧱👍🏼
Just got a set of Blake’s profiles from watching your vids Steve and love them so much more cleaner and accurate then clamping a pole to the brickwork 👌
A great choice Donna you won’t regret it 👌🏼🧱👍🏽
Good to see some easy access for you guys finally 🙌
Cheers John I think we earned this one 😁🧱👍🏼
Very enjoyable
Cheers Matt 🧱👍🏼
Good job chaps .
Cheers Richard 🧱👍🏼
Nice job lads, nice removal, nice clean start to build a master piece from!
If I were the customer the gate and posts would have to be replaced. Its flaws will be highlighted more next to a new lovely wall.
Keep up the good work lads 👍
Cheers James 🧱👍🏽
Great vid! That wall had defo seen better days! Nice copings !!

Lol that wall was about to become one with nature was looking nice actually with all the roots and plants in it , too bad it’s not strong like that 😆 but dangerous 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Yeah it did actually look really nice . I felt bad knocking it down 🙄😬🧱👍🏽
Brilliant lads, stay safe. looking forward to the next vid, brings back memories. happy days.
Nice one Les 🧱👍🏽
@How To survive , try watching part 2 or any one of our 120 or so videos , there are very few destructive ones and plenty of beautiful constructions 🧱👍🏽
@How To survive 😁🧱👍🏽
Nick Knowles would be proud of that skip filling!!
Absolutely ! 💪🏽🧱👍🏽
Nice easy take down which is always nice did you try local reclamation yards for copings
Tried on line in vain , we have 18 1/2 copings to sell now 🙄🧱👍🏽
They look like bricks we called South Waters down south. Sort of glazed face?
Used to be laid with a gauged bed, around 3 or 4mm thick.
Very hard to find if you need some. Shame they were skipped but storage is a pain for us all.
Very true , I hate waste but you are so right about storage 👌🏼🧱👍🏼
Love the comment built with soil! Lol. 👊
😏😁🧱👍🏽
9:42 alex nearly had his foot off. Careful lad😂
Yep , that was a close one 😳🧱👍🏽
Them original half round top cappings looked lovely shame they can’t be cleaned up
They are all clean and in our garage waiting to go on e bay 👌🏼🧱👍🏽
Looks like it’s going to be a nice job that men 😁👍🏻
It turned out lovely 🧱👍🏽
How do you fancy carrying a hod full of them suckers 😱😱Great work guys and a nice steady number for a change 👍💪
Absolute ball breakers 🥵🧱👍🏽
Hiya boys 😁👍, thought I'd tuned into Road Wars at the start 😉.
Definitely not proper tradesmen ........ you didn't stop for Popmaster 🤣🤣🤣
Shame you couldn't keep some of those bricks, I bet you'll need some soon for patching in. Do you have any reclamation yards that would buy / take stuff like that ?
Hope you have a great weekend boys 👍Regards
Tim
Don’t know of any local yards and we don’t have any rob for storage unfortunately 😬🧱👍🏽
No doubt it will look well when complete Steve. Did ye ever get payment for the garage you finished of on the site.
It turned out lovely 👌🏼, as for the garage I’m seeing the QS on Monday hopefully.🧱👍🏼
Ayy looking good fellas👍🏽 you boys go through some jobs don’t you!!
Oh yeah ! We’ve got 8 videos up ready to release and editing 2 and recording another 2 .i put almost as many hours into bloody UA-cam 😳😆🧱👍🏽
@@SteveAndAlexBuild fairplay mate I’ll give you that, you don’t half work hard👍🏽👍🏽🧱
@@ConstructionwithKieren we’ve had plenty of time off with the bloody weather 🙄☔️😁🧱👍🏽
@@SteveAndAlexBuild more than deserved time off for you though mate👍🏽👍🏽
@@ConstructionwithKieren 🤙🏼🧱👍🏽
I take it that was was non-structural? :-)
A real shame to not be able to reuse those copings. I think I would have considered using a little epoxy-concrete grout to try to glue the split copings together while setting them all back in place, assuming the wall design was staying basically the same.
It is the same but we needed coping for the 3 pillars and wanted them to match 🧱👍🏽
Should of salvaged those bricks!! It’s getting harder to find old Accy Nori bricks now.
It’s ok saying that If you have plenty of room to store them . Also these weren’t Accrington’s .... too many knackered crumbling ones 🧱👍🏼
How old is that wall ? No one would have noticed that as mud except for those garden creepers out of those joints😂
It’s certainly an old one 😬, it looked quite nice with all the greenery 🧱👍🏽
very dissapointed in this video,, everything EVERYTHING stops for pop master,, lol great video really.
📻😬😆🧱👍🏽
👍🏻👍🏻
😁👍🏼🧱
Where they southwaters lovely looking bricks, shame
No, never herd of these , they were crap quality 🧱👍🏽
@@martin2466 👍
hi guys hope your well ,,do yous ever get grief from peeps trying to walk on the path when you got a job like this ? normal peeps would understand but i know theres a lot who would argue just for the sake ,, anyways stay safe gents
I know what you mean . This was Aintree and it’s very rare a scouser will ever give you grief 😬😉🧱👍🏽
Soil (or mixed with Animal / Human Excrement!) was a traditional method - Happy Bricklaying ... !!
💩Nice ! 🤣🧱👍🏽
They dont make bricks like that anymore!🤙🧱🧱
thanks god ! 😆
@@martin2466 . 😬🤣🧱👍🏽
Hope the skip operator doesn't drive the lorry like he manuvered the skip.
Where do all the 1000s of skips that get filled every year throughout the country with building rubble get dumped? Must be millions of old bricks scattered in land fill??
No skips companies have to screen the waste and this kind of stuff gets crushed for hardcore 🧱👍🏽
Is that intro music monika?
No idea pal 🧱👍🏽
Was that wall built out of soil?.....lol
🤔😁🧱👍🏽
Why demolish that original looking, and unusually crafted, beautiful wall. Couldn't you have renovated it. Grrr😒
An too much hassle and too many knackered bricks 👌🏼🧱👍🏼
They need to get rid of that ivy,it ruins the brick work.
Not sure what it was but it wasn’t ivy 😬🧱👍🏽
@@SteveAndAlexBuild Oh right, top job as usual, looking forward to the next video 👍
@@stevewood7884 Cheers Steve 🧱👍🏽
Lads...now come on...you’ve completely blocked the public doorway, not a road sign in sight, and I wager you do not have a permit (under the highways act 1980) to ‘deposit’ building materials on the highway...whilst I applaude your work, it’s the little things that get in people’s hair...I bet your just glad I was not walking along that street when you were doing this...get with the programme guys...and let hope you have a licence for the skip too...by the way...you are responsible for the skip, once placed on the highway, not the skip company...!
🙄
Says the plastic traffic warden....Your watching a bricklaying video with hard working guys trying to make a living ....go and watch some z cars
