Agreed that we can’t have these doctors passing USMLE exams to get them into residency by cheating. However…. With doctors it’s a bit different from nurses because in order for any doctor in America to really even touch a patient they have to pass their boards and complete residency. Residency is really the most important part of a doctors education because it teaches them how to use all of this random knowledge they have learned in med school and apply it to patient care. No attending doctor worth his white coat would let a freshly graduated med student touch a patient without very close watch on them. Things like residency protect patients in America so don't feel uneasy going to the hospital, rest assured your doctor will be one of the most qualified doctors in the world. It would be very very difficult for a doctor without the proper education to find a residency program in america.

Alot of nurses are immigrants because US doesnt have enough nurses and other medical professionals, so our educational system should be improved. Lastly, proper vetting can prevent possibly putting lives in danger and hire better qualifies nurses from anywhere.
