Blom if he's healthy should start every game. He's 95% at this point according to Carnell but still getting to full match fitness. Stroud is up and down but had a great match.
The sports rivalry between St. Louis and Kansas City goes back decades, regardless of sport ...in soccer, this goes back to the late 1970's in the Major Indoor Soccer League between the St. Louis Steamers and Kansas City Comets, or in baseball back to the 1985 World Series between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Kansas City Royals. The Sporting vs. St. Louis City rivalry began as soon as the addition of St. Louis City to MLS was announced, especially between the fan bases. One of those announcers, former MLS and USMNT player Taylor Twellman, who is from St. Louis, understands this
@@one_mega_ohm9139 agreed, it's just always there in every sport between the two cities - I am excited about sporting kc being a rival but it's always chicago #1 - nashville and cincy have potential thanks to the preds and the reds too - in the sense that people from both cities already travel to watch all our teams play each other every year
No penalty - all ball no contact. Horrible call - very poor MLS officiating. 2:43 directly in the refs line of sight - no call leads to the second goal. Horrendous. This match was completely dictated by poor officiating. STL's first two goals should've never happened. The ref should be suspended. Good goals by STL though. Gioacchini is the real deal. The crowd was great as well.
@The CHAMP I wouldn't have called either. I'm actually fine with allowing play on from the ref at 2:43 . I really just came here to say that the pk call - which was poor - dictated the match. The no call at 2:43 which also led to a goal was harsher and was not called. Inconsistent officiating.
That was one of the most ridiculous penalty calls I've seen in a while. MLS referees seem always so eager to give away penalties every time a player falls in the box.
@@tripperdelaluna1 Right, Peele act like they don't know what momentum is, when you see a penalty given for something so soft, just kills all motivation
😮 I am surprised that St. Louis City, SC, is taking over the western conference in the MLS. What a game! Congratulations, St. Louis fan!. ❤ I am a San Jose fan, and Keep it up, guys. 🫶🏼
Props to St. Louis native, Taylor Tewellman, for the unbiased commentary
Start Stroud and Blom every game

A RIVALRY IS BORN! THE "SOCCER CAPITAL CLASICO"!
😂
Rivalry was always there (St. Louis vs KC), just now takes this new form.
And it's about time!😊
Blom❤️
⚽⚽⚽🥅
Tell these announcers that rivalries develop naturally over time 🤣
Honestly tho as a STL native, the KC rivalry has been here a while
It's already there. Both cities do not like each other, as they both claim to be soccer capital.

And KC’s front office just added fuel to the fire.
I don't think you understand how city rivalries work.
This is what SKC needed... This is how villains are made. Watch this turn into one of the best rivalries in MLS. Amazing entertainment 👌 👏
Until they move STL to the east in 2025... hopefully they just move MN United instead.
@@recifebra3 god I want us to be in the East, so many rivalries for us that sync with cards and blues rival citiess
@@Ciznupmul I agree, STL/Chicago already has way better rivalry vibes

Fricken damn right .Battle Royal
Formely Cheifs Vs Rams
and Cards Vs. Royals
So this is only natural.
Burki is such a beast! What a stud.
Blom is the key, knew it as soon as he signed. We have to even really seen him as a playmaker
Burki can easily play in one of the top 5 european leagues. Wonder why is playing in St Louis
$$$. Highest paid player on STL SC and the Highest paid goalie in the MLS
@@jots083 wow
He made the decision to start in MLS rather than backup in the Bundesliga.
To borrow a quote from the NWO: St. Louis City SC is just TOO SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!
Blom deserved man of the match
Or Indy. Drawing the PK and then getting two sweet goals. And he was all over the field. Blom was great but I think I'd give it to Indy.
um, you saw Burki?
MOTT - Burki
That's how the soccer capital of the country rolls!
Great win, especially with Klauss and Alm out.pasted SKC like we did Cincinnati!
Our boy Blom doing well 🎉🎉

@The CHAMP Cleaner than the penalty foul? He locks his legs up - the one in the box he may have breathed on him a little too hard and that's it.
