It has so much meaning in that moment (Carl accepted Michonne, he began to trust her, he appreciated her help) and it was also foreshadowing the strong bonds Michonne would develop with Carl, Rick, Judith and the other members of their group.

He cut it for her I think, because obviously he had only met Jessie when she offered to cut his hair so he shaved his face for another reason; Michonne. When she sees him for the first time without it, he is shy and worried if she likes it or not. That's real chemistry.

This video is perfection. It displays that this relationship had "build up" and definitely did NOT come out of nowhere for all those people claiming that it did. Rick and michonne built trust over the course of three seasons. He is someone who will fight and protect what he loves. She is someone he can trust not only with his kids but with himself, even in his weakest moments. Unlike Lori, she didn't shy away from his darkness or violence and never judged him for it. Unlike Jessie, she isn't weak or needing him to protect her. Unlike mike, even in the face of hardship he doesn't falter. There are no two people more perfectly suited. Jessie could never have been for Rick what michonne is, because his entire interaction with her felt out of character. Rick is weary of people instinctually. He met father gabe and didn't trust him (a priest)yet he met Jessie and just like that he allowed her to hold scissors to his head? That was weird. Then it just got stranger. he literally had to evolve into Shane for him to be with her. Pete was a monster but that doesn't change the fact that Rick became a man who was "involved" with a married woman and looking to kill her husband. It was insane and unhealthy and I'm glad it's over. To all those haters who preferred Jessie to michonne as rick love interest or are hoping they split up, I suggest you get over it because richonne is the most well crafted relationship on this show and it is going nowhere!

I ❤️ my babies Rick & Michonne. Wow. So many people are missing out on this beautiful relationship. They are one of the best tv couples out there right now. The character development is amazing.
Watching these two fall in love has been amazing to witness. I've never seen it before on a TV show. From the very first moment he laid eyes on her we knew something would blossom between the two. She was 100 yards away in the midst of walkers and yet he saw her. Throughout season 3 you can see it on Ricks face that he couldn't even make sense of it in the beginning "it must've been something else". Destiny brought them together and you can see it Rick's eyes first. The way he'd stare into her eyes, watch her as she leaves, and gives her what she wants. They're the definition of soulmates.
It's great to see their scenes all together. I think my two favorite quotes - and in my opinion, the ones that cement the feelings between the two of them - is, [Rick] "I was afraid you'd talk me out of it. You could've." (when Rick hides the gun outside Alexandria and makes a Plan B with Carol and Daryl. It shows he trusts her and cares about her opinion of him) And [Michonne] "Rick's out there! He needs my help!" (when Rick takes on the Walkers by himself after Carl is shot in the eye. It shows Michonne can't take the thought of losing him.) The clues were subtle, but they were there.
I'm like two years late but it also shows that Rick is basically admitting it out loud to Michonne, the audience, and himself that her opinion and what she says to him has great power/control over him and what he does. He basically admits that she's his weakness and strength because she makes him a better, smarter person lol. The only reason he didn't tell her about the gun plan because he didn't want to face that fact to shield himself from his true feelings for Michonne, and that with time it was getting harder to avoid that truth (hence why when they're finally on that couch together it all becomes crystal clear that they have been in love this entire time and the final puzzle pieces clicked together simultaneously in both of their minds). OTP fr!!

Also Im especially glad for Michonne cause watching this made me feel like there was a lot more signs that she liked him for a while before he even realized he liked her back. I saw a lot of signs from her but i think Rick was either brushing it off or being air headed. Thats why the scene @ 8:32 when she grabbed his hand was pretty touching cause it was her taking a chance of him finally realizing it. Good analysis. Yeah, I think she's been in love with him for a while but I also think he was attracted to her but didn't even know it. He was so busy chasing after a pipe dream. Rick was totally clueless.
Rick had some much responsibility he couldn't think about his needs. Every time someone became a part of his team they became family. He couldn't lean on no one else's help.Not Carol, Daryl ,they were always leaving unexpectedly. Until his queen showed up. Even when she found Carl and Rick at the house and Rick wanted to go with them to hunt for food. Michonne said no you were unconscious, he said I am awake now, she said no just stay and rest for one more day. No one suggested that before. So yes he realized what he got as a true unselfish friend . Therefore it became more.
6 minutes in, and I found myself bawling like a baby. Just at the beginning of the video, they just met, and he didn't really trust her. Now, close to the end, they're kissing and spooning and worrying about each other, having each other's backs. This will forever be my favorite couple on television, and I've never been as passionate about one like this before. All in all, great work, I think this the first Rick and Michonne "journey" video that was made, or that I could find, and you did it well. Love it, I'll probably watch this a millon times.

I've never watched The Walking Dead, I've seen maybe scenes from a couple of episodes but I never took the time to actually watch the show. You can't have a Richonne video without including the Carl x Michonne aspect, because that relationship was literally the Trojan Horse to allow the possibility of Richonne to take root. 6b gave us those light Richonne moments of bliss, so in the wake of Negan, we'll see this relationship have it's brief rocky period in regards to how Rick chooses to deal with the Negan situation, but we'll see their relationship come out stronger and deepen as the two of them become each other's pillars of emotional support in the story leading to All Out War.
Think you so much peetamellark for making this video. It's so disheartening that so many people are against this relationship. This the TV series not the comic people. Things are going to be way different. Besides wouldn't you want your kids to also love the person that you're with. She was 100 yards away in the midst of walkers and yet he saw her. Throughout season 3 you can see it on Ricks face that he couldn't even make sense of it in the beginning "it must've been something else". Destiny brought them together and you can see it Rick's eyes first. The way he'd stare into her eyes, watch her as she leaves, and gives her what she wants. They're the definition of soulmates.
I am afraid if Rick comes back to the series he and Michonne will not be together. I love that couple so much.

It's great to see their scenes all together. I think my two favorite quotes - and in my opinion, the ones that cement the feelings between the two of them - is, [Rick] "I was afraid you'd talk me out of it. You could've." (when Rick hides the gun outside Alexandria and makes a Plan B with Carol and Daryl. It shows he trusts her and cares about her opinion of him) And [Michonne] "Rick's out there! He needs my help!" (when Rick takes on the Walkers by himself after Carl is shot in the eye. It shows Michonne can't take the thought of losing him.) The clues were subtle, but they were there.
I'm like two years late but it also shows that Rick is basically admitting it out loud to Michonne, the audience, and himself that her opinion and what she says to him has great power/control over him and what he does. He basically admits that she's his weakness and strength because she makes him a better, smarter person lol. The only reason he didn't tell her about the gun plan because he didn't want to face that fact to shield himself from his true feelings for Michonne, and that with time it was getting harder to avoid that truth (hence why when they're finally on that couch together it all becomes crystal clear that they have been in love this entire time and the final puzzle pieces clicked together simultaneously in both of their minds). Rick really needed a women that wasnt helpless and can take care of herself and who can confront him when hes messing up and we all know that it definitely wasnt Lori or Jessica. Also Im especially glad for Michonne cause watching this made me feel like there was a lot more signs that she liked him for a while before he even realized he liked her back. I saw a lot of signs from her but i think Rick was either brushing it off or being air headed. Thats why the scene @ 8:32 when she grabbed his hand was pretty touching cause it was her taking a chance of him finally realizing it. So when he grabbed back and she was shocked but happy it was a really heartwarming. Like she was thinking "finally this dumbass gets it" lol
Good analysis. Yeah, I think she's been in love with him for a while but I also think he was attracted to her but didn't even know it. He was so busy chasing after a pipe dream. Rick was totally clueless.
Rick had some much responsibility he couldn't think about his needs. Every time someone became a part of his team they became family. He couldn't lean on no one else's help.Not Carol, Daryl ,they were always leaving unexpectedly. Until his queen showed up. Even when she found Carl and Rick at the house and Rick wanted to go with them to hunt for food. Michonne said no you were unconscious, he said I am awake now, she said no just stay and rest for one more day. No one suggested that before. So yes he realized what he got as a true unselfish friend . Therefore it became more.

Just at the beginning of the video, they just met, and he didn't really trust her. Now, close to the end, they're kissing and spooning and worrying about each other, having each other's backs. This will forever be my favorite couple on television, and I've never been as passionate about one like this before.
All in all, great work, I think this the first Rick and Michonne "journey" video that was made, or that I could find, and you did it well. Love it, I'll probably watch this a millon times.

I watched the 1st and 2nd season so fast to catch up. Then, like everyone else for season 3-6 I was hoping they would get together. It was so obvious there was amazing chemistry. Then came the sofa scene. Heck yeah. Then came TOWL.

Carl, ate a gigantic can of chocolate pudding by himself and that leering grin Rick, had on his face when Michonne, found them. Wow! How come that was left out of this video?
Carl eating a can of chocolate pudding has nothing to do with this, so it wouldn't have made sense to include it; And I left out the part of Rick grinning because if I had put everything in the video it would have been like 2 hours long.

Their story seems so amazing, deep and pure, and everything about the way you pictured it and put in motion in this video, is perfect. You can't have a Richonne video without including the Carl x Michonne aspect, because that relationship was literally the Trojan Horse to allow the possibility of Richonne to take root. 6b gave us those light Richonne moments of bliss, so in the wake of Negan, we'll see this relationship have it's brief rocky period in regards to how Rick chooses to deal with the Negan situation, but we'll see their relationship come out stronger and deepen as the two of them become each other's pillars of emotional support in the story leading to All Out War.

Think you so much peetamellark for making this video. It's so disheartening that so many people are against this relationship. This the TV series not the comic people. Things are going to be way different. Besides wouldn't you want your kids to also love the person that you're with. Wouldn't you want to be with someone who is willing to kill or be killed for your children. Michonne is one bad ass chick all the way around. Richonne makes sense and it works so well.
