This just shows why people on UA-cam are so incredible. Bradley was already amazing at 18, now add another 15 years of practice and you get this. This shows that I still got a long way to go !
Splendid man. Now that is a satisfying payoff to showcase the progression of getting more versatile at guitar. It's always a journey from start to finish, and there might never even be a finish! Cheers man.
The legendary Ibanez RG 350. I had the very same back then. I miss it so much. I was like 18, just like you in this video, but you already were a fucking beast.
I wonder how many modern tech death metal fans and players there are that have no idea how influential Muhammed Suiçmez was to so many bands. The Necrophagist timeline was short, but extordinary for the scene. Epitaph is a classic.
I'd love a video on how you practiced to be able to play the fast alternate picking runs like a breeze. I also used to hold the pick weird in the beginning but still struggle to break through certain sound barriers, even after correcting it.
You are such a great player. Your technique, simply flawless. Most people can practice for 30+years and would not be able to reach to your level. Bravo!
@@orestispalampougioukis6043 There is no best solo of all time, all are subjective to opinion and taste. That is why I said many solos deserve to be the best solo of all time, and in my opinion this is one of them. Hope you understand now!
I don't see any difference but that the second one version was recorded with better resources like a badass camera and an improved production and mix. The talent always has been there.
Having a guitar that is intonated correctly helps immensely as well. The first run sounds like a chorus effect due to the micro-pitches being off from poor intonation
Most difficult part for me was the sweep picking. Sweeping up, sweeping down. Positioning the pick so I can tap notes between the sweeps and then get back into the speed picking notes. This solo is crazy, all over the place......Oh, and Mad Props for shouting out the Ibanez RG! One of my favorite guitars after I got "good" (Lol) is my RG370-DXGP1. It has an ugly ass digital camo finish. I eventually had the body cut to accept Live Wire actives and an old school Kahler 2300 trem. The guitar had a bolt-on neck. I had Charvel Guitars modify the neck from a bolt-on to a set-neck. Even had Charvel shave the back of the neck for a thinner D profile and leave the backside unfinished, just raw wood. 💀😎💀. My next mod for this RG of mine is to have the 12th thru 24th frets scalloped like Malmstein'guitars......its an experimental toy for me at this point.
It is nice to see that you had the same guitar. I got mine 15 years ago and didn't get any better over the time. That means it is not guitar's fault. Thanks for video, good job.
Brad you are simply inspiring, I hope sometime in the near future I can devote myself to the world of music, and finally start learning guitar....at my.....30 years of age 😅
alot of people ask for tone, sweep pick angles, technique tips, only question i have is where is the nearest dumpster to dispose of my 6-string right now
First time i heard it was a bootlegged live album from a gig in Montreal for summer slaughter i think. That solo came out of nowhere and the crowd was just shouting at its arrival with a passion and emotion that i got goosebumps, and then that fucker gets more difficult, more complex....changes tempo...okay solo stops and rythm section comes ba...I WAS FOOLED IT CONTINUES My favourite to this day
If I'm "attempting" to play fast, i hold the pick like in the current video. For everything else i hold like the old video. Normally I'm focused more on dynamics than speed, and i find i can do that far more easily with pick extended out more. Speed requires consistency, which is like the antithesis of dynamic. Same goes for string gauges too. I tune my strat to standard 440, and went down to 10s a few years ago after over a decade of using 11s. For some reason my feed has had a lot of videos with some form of "why I've gone to lighter strings" title. I decided to give 9s a whirl. I was able to play faster and a bit more easily, but find l found that they weren't nearly as well suited for changing picking dynamics. There just wasn't enough "there" there. At times it felt like my pick was passing though empty air. Interestingly while they were easier to bend i didn't feel like i had nearly as much control. The vibrato at the the of a bend wasn't as smooth, my accuracy in bending to a pitch was all over the place. It proved very counterintuitive.
For anyone who doesn't know the solo is from "Fermented Offal Discharge" by Necrophagist! Simply delightful name
Knew it from the first note
Right lol didnt even need the audio on. I gave the Epitaph solo a week of work and was like meh I got it good enough lol its not good enough
The song name will never be mistaken for a Christmas carol 🤓
Legendary solo.
woaw Impressive for age 18😳👍👍
The way I was able to finally pull off this solo was by imagining certain parts as different songs I need to blend and fade into
That's a good strategy
That's generally a good Idea for learning any hard song.
Learn different sequences in isolation, then put them together
Otherwise known as phrasing. Wtf 🤷♂️
Im not gonna lie, ever since I picked up guitar again, I have had tons of fun learning new crazy fun stuff 💙
Those sweeps were so clean they cleaned my floor! Absolutely fantastic mate \m/
SWEEPMAN!!!
🧹🧹🧹
This man is truly one of the guitarists of all the times
@@BradleyHallGuitarmost beautiful person in Birmingham
He absolutely is one of them lmao
Even at the mere age of 18 you were a badass on guitar! Keep it up, mate!
Meanwhile when I was 18 I rage quit playing guitar because I couldn't play the solo from Sweet Child O Mine 😅
This just shows why people on UA-cam are so incredible. Bradley was already amazing at 18, now add another 15 years of practice and you get this. This shows that I still got a long way to go !
Ridiculously good mate. Most people can only dream of being this accomplished. I can’t imagine how cool it must feel to be able to play like that. 🤘🏻
I would like to see you playing Morning Star solo. It's a song by Angra, and that's one of the hardest solos ever.
yes!
is that solo before, after, or during Kiko?
@@alftenatir9652 Kiko created It. And Kiko was the first Angra's guitarist, so there was nobody before him.
Why was this amazing cover unlisted
The bend at 2:27 gives me life. Fucking rad dude!
The most obvious and baffling difference between past you and present you is the way you move sooo much less. When it looks easy, it's well played
Splendid man. Now that is a satisfying payoff to showcase the progression of getting more versatile at guitar. It's always a journey from start to finish, and there might never even be a finish! Cheers man.
This is like one of the hardest guitar solos I know and ironically I've been introduced to it through a guy covering it on a clarinet.
Yeh bro, that bend at the end of those sweeps had so much feel, and when u hit the whammy, I felt like I was listening to the time solo.
I really love this video format where you showcase urself playing as a young man.
The legendary Ibanez RG 350. I had the very same back then. I miss it so much. I was like 18, just like you in this video, but you already were a fucking beast.
If I can just get to 18 yo Bradley skill level I'll be happy.
This and Winter Madness by Wintersun are the twin peaks for neo classical shred.
Well done.
This is the fastest Bradley’s ever come out with two videos
I fucking love this solo too. Well played !
Man, you were crazy good even at age 18. Sick solo, I love Necrophagist!
I was stunned, speechless, when I heard that song and its solo for the first time. Sooooo awesome! One of the best guitar solos ever!
Took me 15 seconds to know there is no way in hell i can do that. Good job!
Thank you bradley, becaose of this video i have discovered one of the best solos i have ever heard
15 years back that skill holy fuck and that 10 watt amp tone was still pretty sick
I've never heard of this and it's stunning! Excellent work, Brad!
One of my favourite guitar solos
Damn, Bradley! Absolutely fantastic!!!
Nice, giving love to the legendary Necrophagist, I would love to see more stuff of them in this channel!
Fermented Offal Discharge ? You were the last i thought would cover it. I am learning it rn and this is pure fire.
we even got feet leak and didnt even have to pay, amazing
I wonder how many modern tech death metal fans and players there are that have no idea how influential Muhammed Suiçmez was to so many bands. The Necrophagist timeline was short, but extordinary for the scene. Epitaph is a classic.
I knew a guy that played the solo with ease, the difficult part being the riffs for him.
I like these kind of videos , they give listener a chance to hear what you think is good v/s what sounds great
This is next on my list after wonderwall 😂... you're a crazy diamond of a dude Bradley.
im just amazed at sweeping im awful at it and he managed to clean my entire house because his sweeps were so clean
This solo made me learn sweeping and alternate picking and I still can't play it perfectly but it's insanely rewarding to play it at speed
That solo takes you on a journey and you did great with it
I'd love a video on how you practiced to be able to play the fast alternate picking runs like a breeze. I also used to hold the pick weird in the beginning but still struggle to break through certain sound barriers, even after correcting it.
same here thats the one thing ive been having any real trouble with
15 years of practice. A good start.
Amazing, it's cool to see where your dedication got you
Why is this unlisted now?
i love these types of videos bradley do more of these
Muhammad Suiçmez is not talked about enough. Absolutely killer tech death guitarist.
You are such a great player. Your technique, simply flawless. Most people can practice for 30+years and would not be able to reach to your level. Bravo!
Bro wtf. Have you ever told your history on learning guitar? I started playing with 18 years, I'm 40 now, and I'm pretty shitty.
You're amazing Bro.
I would be very happy with the first versin already.
I love the inlays on those older Ibanezes
Cleaner than Malmsteen
I'd love to see you master Turn Around solo from Bumblefoot, I remember the struggle during the "underrated solos" videos lmao.
Ron Thal is incredible. Him and Mattias Eklundh are my two favorite often alien sounding guitarists out there.
It's by far my favorite cover for this solo... So smooth and almost .... zen !!
Heresy, the clarinet cover is clearly the best
@@SidV101 ahaha I admit…!! But it’s too frantic.. this one is peaceful
I have been working on Tornado of Souls, Creeping Death, Stabwound, and others for years
I hope to sound that clean eventually
My all time favourite solo. Man I will never be able to play it
Amazing as always friend!!
sweet sweeps. well done sir
that is actually fucking crazy
Many solos deserve the title of best solo of all time, and this is one of them! Necrophagist still holds it's Legendary band title to this day! 🐐
That doesn’t make sense. Maybe you are trying to say “There are many amazing solos and this is definitely one of them”.
@@orestispalampougioukis6043 There is no best solo of all time, all are subjective to opinion and taste. That is why I said many solos deserve to be the best solo of all time, and in my opinion this is one of them. Hope you understand now!
Bro literally own the whole guitar scales
Necrophagist song titles be disgusting as hell and then the solos on said songs are epic amazing and borderline emotional masterpieces
I love how you toss one of these videos in every couple weeks to remind us all what a great player you are!
Have you always been so damned perfect?
I don't see any difference but that the second one version was recorded with better resources like a badass camera and an improved production and mix. The talent always has been there.
I've lost count of how many times I've tried to learn this solo and gave up lol
im so glad that i was able to hear this solo twice today
Having a guitar that is intonated correctly helps immensely as well. The first run sounds like a chorus effect due to the micro-pitches being off from poor intonation
well done, officially in the top 1% of guitar players imo
The best metal solo ever
Beautiful playing 🔥🎸🔥

probably the best tech death metal solo of all time
That Ten Thousand hours 😎🍻🤘
Hey Bradley, could you make a list of more obscure metal solos like this? I need harder things to practice
Cheers
My jaw was on the floor for 2 minutes
Sweet geezuz it's full of sweeps! ❤
Did this one too, glad I could finish it x)
still waiting for that third necrophagist album :(
Sounds amazing, mate!
My god I never knew you could play Necrophagist
I think I left my jaw on the floor mate...lol
SweepMan : Origins
Quickly, show this to 2008 Bradley
Amazing song and amazing job. Stay Tech !
Oh yes, necrophagist! And my favourite solo of all time too!
Fermented offal jollities
The original solo was composed and played by Muhammed Suiçmez.
Fu**ing awesome!!
What a great rendition of the solo!
I had no idea you were a Necrophagist fan! I love that band!
Doesn’t his excessive sweep picking make that obvious in retrospect
@@stantorren4400 Not really at first but now that I t think about it makes sense I thought it was mostly Jason Becker
