The death of Isabelle upset me, Daryl has grown so much as a character within TWD he deserves to have more. Isabelle would have been a great addition to the Common Wealth. I agree with your take on Isabelle being a replacement to Carol until she returned. They did so much character development between Isabelle and Daryl, it just leaves a huge hole. Carol’s “feeling” is understandable but it would’ve been nice to add maybe Morgan returning with his daughter or even Rick and Michonne’s return. I love Daryl’s story and have always connected with him, but this season is not going as I pictured.
I saw it coming, they set up maybe Beth and died right away then he had a fling with the blond chick from the reapers, died soon after so as soon as isabelle and daryl slept together I was like.. welp she's dead then lol
Carol and Daryl is my fave friendship maybe in all of TV. I’m just happy they’re together. They love each other like friends do. Like Rick and Daryl, how they were like brothers. Familial love? In my friendship?? More likely than you think! /reference
Hi I love your videos, glad to see your posting your thoughts on each episode again. I agree with you about everything you said with Isabelle and think she would’ve been a great addition in the future. S2 has shocked me completely in the way the story has gone
Because a happy Daryl is a boring Daryl and there are too many cool things for him to do to waste time with all that kissy- cootie stuff girls like 😂. That said, maybe they should have a meta in-universe soap opera or TV show of some kind made and directed by survivors in one of the more technology-blessed outpost, sort of a story within a story.
The writing team on TWD projects lately have really dropped the ball. The world used to feel gritty and real and now these shows feel like they’re made for young kids with overly simplistic storylines and poor execution of concepts that had lots of potential
It wasn't a feeling that things were going to go bad that "came back." It was her trauma/PTSD over Sophia. When he was doing interviews for last year's NYCC, showrunner David Zabel said who or what "came back" wasn't what anyone was thinking (i.e. not Rick, Morgan, etc.). But most fans never saw that quote, so everyone kept expecting it to be Rick. Also, it was pretty clear the show wanted us to think she said Rick came back, most likely to create buzz for The Ones Who Live. I, personally, don't mind, but I think it was a bad decision on their part to create those expectations with no intention of paying it off. So I don't blame others for feeling disappointed and misled.
Would LOVE to your take on BBC's In the Flesh and Dead Set. Both are fabulous..I think you're going to LOVE Dead Set, but In the Flesh is really something special and different.
As a fan of TWD for Years l must say l find it super odd that some people in the fandom have watched TOWL expecting it to be a CRM Special when it was literally marketed as an epic love story!! I get wanting to get World Beyond part 3 Season 3 but The Ones Who Live was never going to be that so no and The Franchise still got a direction or no mistake from TOWL. Because it gave the audience the epic love story they promised. As for the CRM it wasn’t completely eradicated by Rick, he ended the echelon Briefing on the Finele. That was Okafor’s stated plan from the very first episode. I know some fans wanted 2-3 seasons of Beale as the big bad but that’s wasn’t what the show said it was giving so it is what it is. I hope the fans begin to appreciate that we have over a decade of TWD Because this show was never about one enemy or super villain. Some Fans and UA-camrs don’t understand about TWD Universe for a long time 💯💯 what a shame
It was kind of obvious that Isabelle was never going to survive, I just didnt expect them to do it at the same exact time Carol showed up. I was hoping we would get at least 2 more episodes with the trio looking for Laurant. AMC is just so cheap and stingy that it was never going to work. They probably get sick every time they have to write Norman his paycheck let alone 2 other main characters on screen at the same time
Spot on!! Isabelle not only dies but gets the worst C tier character death. Then they kill the MAIN VILLAIN of the series!!! The ships, the experiments, primrose, etc, etc?? I truly thought Genet was going to unleach them all and run them out of France but guess not. What was all of this for?? Frustrated
Do burners create other burners, or is there a limited number of burners that escaped their captivity and that’s as far as it goes for numbers of burners? Also, same question for the super walkers. If they made a serum that is able to spread through the walker populace, then Pouvoir would only need to drop 1 walker off on each continent, then wait for a few years until walkers are extinct and it’s runners throughout the globe.
I haven't been watching the latest seasons, so keeping up here is my way of knowing what's going on - so thanks for sharing your opinions and summaries! Also, do you think there will be any good scenes to use from these new seasons for an environmental storytelling theory video?
There was a part of the end of episode 4 where losang and the military team up after everything that happened knowing that their leader was dead. It gave a foreshadowing as if the French will become a threat again in some way especially when losang end the episode saying " Let's go find the boy". I dont know if you left it out on purpose or simply didnt notice ou of frustration which i get lol. I do think the plot is wrapping up quick but the deaths did aid in the story especially now that they teamed up which would make them even stronger and possibly more effective at tracking Laurent down. In all I think that these episodes were great but rushed. And from what I saw I believe that the French may come back up in the new season maybe to take over Spain next or something or maybe even tracking them down after Daryl and carol get laurent back.
That’s fair, I expected Isabel to die. This episode watching it. Because usually Dixon doesn’t get a happy ending. Even though Judith said he deserves one. He rarely ever gets one. So I didn’t expect Isabel to make it. Wasn’t expecting Jhené to die. But you’ll never see me complaining about villains. Getting smoked. But everything you said is completely fair. I’m usually very. Unbiased towards everything in The Walking dead. Specially, since I just want Dixon to reunite with Grimes, so, seeing this all get wrapped up, brings me one step closer to that. But everything you said is completely fair. I hope things go well for him and Connie. But honestly Dixon’s love life never ends well. His girlfriend. In survival instinct. Likely died on the helicopter. He was forced to kill Leah, to show Maggie, he has her back. After Glenn’s death. And of course Isabel. Believe in, completely in Dixon. Chose, to strike back, and rebel against the union of hope. Leading tell him losing his temper and killing her. I rarely ever expect Dixon to get a happy ending. Because despite what Judith said he never does. But, I knew people weren’t gonna like this. That’s fair. I don’t think it’s done though. This is my own personal head canon. The reason why they build that huge divide 35 years later. In,tells of The Walking Dead. It’s because somehow. The various zombies make their way to America. With the group that collects the, skulls being the one that brought them over. But also, heavenly, following the ending of The Walking Dead. Where walkers would now be rarer. Since, they’re down on the other side of the divide. But this is my own personal. Fanfiction, to keep the various zombies going. What I would do so to speak. Is have a small group. Occasionally travel over to the other side of the divide. To collect France experiment. Zombies, for Eugene, and June. To examine, to potentially expand, the radiation solution. To fully cure somebody. And Laurent, and Judith reenact the ending of The Walking Dead. With Carl and Sophia. Sorry, I just had a lot to say and it kind of just went off the rails. I don’t know why. I honestly don’t expect you to read all of this. I’m sorry. You don’t have to.
There are a shocking amount of plot lines that haven’t seen any follow up that could dramatically change the future of the franchise. I forgot about the radiation thing but yea, that literally has never been attempted again
I agree we should be expanding the universe, but I'm convinced they are purposefully retracting their post main show plans.(i.e. CRM or similar kind of things like Genet's group) It feels like a slow motion death, but like really slow. I'm okay with ending it all soon, but not like this.
Isabelle a French thief turned nun for her nephew spent over a decade in a church safely till Daryl came by all the nuns died and now she has too. I really wished she could've stayed even if Carol and Daryl are suppose to stay single she could've broken up with him and stayed alive like Ezekiel
I have a video suggestion. Could you do a breakdown of that undead military camp at the carnival/fair from TWD season 7? The one that Rick and Michonne go to and find the armed military walkers and tied up civilians.
I liked this season so far but Isabelle death was sad and depressing it broke Darly plus she met a lot to him. I loved the running walkers it reminded me of 28 days later a lot plus when you see them run you’ll know your life is going to be over. Darly and Carol reunion actually made me tear a little idk why it’s just me but Rick and Michonne reunion is better. I’m little mad when Carol made up the someone came back like wow you got me and Darly happy but I like the episodes and season so far but now we gotta get on that plane and go back to the United States.
I won’t lie the post credit from World Beyond should have continue for example we see a team were trying to make a cure or a solution for the wildfire virus but it ended up getting worse
Are we not gonna talk about carol getting shot with the serum for a second and the main antagonist getting shot with the full syringe worth and transform in a horrific way. Is carol gonna get a slow death? Is carol gonna be some sort of immune or like what?
Her leather jacket protected her from the needle, so the plunger didn't activate and none of the serum went into her. It was very convenient, yes. But that's how the writers chose to keep it from affecting her.
Yeah these characters showing up to just die sucks, I really wanted Nat to live in the ones who lived ,the Isabelle and Carol potential team ups would've been phenomenal. This is why I'm not particularly fond of the whole "I wish so many characters didn't have plot armor" arguments against the shows because a characters premature death can just make me lose interests.
