Simple Present, Simple past, and Simple future tense explained in Nepali -English Hub
Hello everyone, today we are going to talk about the simple tense in Nepali. There are three parts of simple tense in English: Simple present tense, simple past, and simple future tense. Simple tense is widely used in English. In this lesson, we will learn the tense step by step. I will help you to understand tenses in the easiest way.

Simple Present tense: Simple Present tense is mostly used to talk about the action in the present.
Here are some examples of Simple Present in Nepali:
- She lives in Kathmandu (उनी काठमाडौँमा बस्छिन् ।)
In the case of universal truth and habitual actions, we always use Simple Present.
For Eg:
- Sun rises in the East. (घाम पूर्वबाट उदाउछ ।)
- Ram goes to school every day. (राम संधै स्कूल जान्छ ।)
Simple Past tense: Simple past tense is mainly used to talk about things that happened in the recent past.
Here are some examples of Simple past tense in Nepali:
- Rita went to Pokhara yesterday. (रीता हिजो पोखरा गइन् ।)
- They played football. (उनीहरुले फूटबल खेले ।)
Simple Future tense: Simple Future tense is mainly used to talk about things that will happen in the near future.
Example of future perfect continuous tense:
- I will study at the university. (म विश्वविद्यालयमा पढ्नेछु।)
- She will work at a company. (उनी एउटा कम्पनीमा काम गर्नेछिन् ।)
These are some examples of simple tense in Nepali. I have tried to explain it in a very simple way so that it would be easy to understand. To learn all the concepts don’t forget to watch till the end.
