Ok... I know it is a joke within TWA, but I think this is my favorite version of the song "Choke" by The Warning! Please check this out with me to witness the continuing evolution of this band!

I must say, after driving 4 hours driving to Baltimore to see TW live, I'm now considering getting my passport and traveling to CDMX for the shows next year. Probably paying 10x the face value for a ticket.

If possible, go for it. The second date is still available as of this moment but since the first show sold out in one day the second won't last. I don't know the dates outside of CDMX because that's where I looked. But I suspect you will be looking and paying thru the nose for the secondary market.
Living in Texas I can fly to Mexico just as cheap or cheaper than US cities.
It's interesting that they booked the shows a week apart. Yes folks, the shows were set up that way. Concert dates are booked a year in advance. That's the business. Sometimes longer. I remember that we had a U2 show booked almost two years ahead. Putting a tour together is hard work. It does take a large team months of work to put a show like this one. An audio team will put together a rider specifying equipment the provider must put together for a price. A video team, a staging team, catering and a dozen other things will be worked out with the promoter using the budget established in the contract between the band and the tour promoter. This process is now dominated by Live Nation for a reason. It just takes so much work to put these together. And yeah, that's one of the reason a ticket costs so much. I remember paying like 6 bucks for ZZ Top in 1977. That was the Wide World Texas Tour which was huge for that time. But today's shows make them look small.
So I agree that it's great to see them in smaller venues here in the US. In Mexico it's 10k. Could have been 20k. They are going up the ladder in festive booking. Yes it takes time to grow unless your Nirvana which did it in one year. But how many Nirvanas are there? One in the past 40 years.
So if you can go see them, go now. It's not going to 25:55 get easier for a long time.

Having 8000 people sing your song back to you has gotta be surreal. I don't care how long you have been performing. I know it's an oxymoron but it is apt: Dany, Pau and Ale are Humble Rock Stars.

I'm 56 also. The Warning is far and away the best live band I have ever seen. I've seen most of the "greats" from the 70's through the early 90's, when good rock and good hard rock fell off the face off the planet. I've seen Aerosmith, Kiss, GunsnRoses, Ted Nugent, Queensryche, Ratt, Poison, The Allman Brothers, Yes, to name a few. As enjoyable as most of those shows were, they became vague, foggy memories in the ether once I saw The Warning. All the pagentry, strutting and other weird, and sometimes also synchronized, stuff from those other shows was finally seen for what it was, in the light of what a band can do when they really love what they do, and who they are doing it for.
I am so happy for you. That first concert is when you get you graduate TWA bootcamp, and come to realize what being in TWA truly means. I hope you have the time of your life!

I think the professionally done live shows are done in Mexico has to do with logistics. The Warning management has to bring a lot of people to produce a really well done live video. Another thing is that The Warning has their largest crowds as a headliner in Mexico. Whatever it is. These shows are awesome.

I was wrong and this is why I appreciate that you check out the different versions. Ale's bass being more prominent in these videos at this show is a treat. While DPA have owned every stage I have seen them on, they are particularly in charge of the venues in Mexico. Yes, I agree with you. It was special to go down last year to see them play in their hometown of Monterrey, then a few night later to see them here at the Pepsi Center. One of the very best live shows I have ever seen. The crowd was absolutely on fire.
I expect that when you see them in Detroit, before they start playing EVOLVE, Pau is going to invite you all to scream with her and let out all the frustrations and things you have bottled up inside. It started in Nottingham, and is becoming a regular thing now. You are going to love seeing them live. I also expect you will not have fully dry eyes throughout the show. Neither do most of the rest of us. Soldier on TWA comrade.

They posted "Black Holes" from this show yesterday, Pau out front on piano.

I have always been in awe of Dany’s vocal range with Choke, but like Pau, I have also been concerned for her well-being as it must take super human effort. Not anymore. Here, she actually sounds like she has more vocal strength in reserve! Thousands of fans singing with Dany suddenly stopping for Ale’s moment! A murmur of excitement rising into a roar of love and admiration. Gave e chills! My son was playing around with an AI program covering songs by Eminem. I asked him to do Choke. We both laughed as the AI ‘choked’ unable to replicate Dany’s vocal range!

60 yo metal and hard rock head, here. Just listening to you brought tears to my eyes. Eloquently, you said "something" of what I experience with TW. Yup. I embarked in the bandwagon of the Warning Army when I heard Choke and Evolve (their original video version), two years ago. And since then, I absolutely LOVE their live videos. Today, with backtracks and sequence, it is possible for a trio to add a "lot of stuff" behind the performers, but TW don't fall into that trap. They add just a few tracks, the minimum, to add texture. The live sound of the 3 sisters is unbelievable. Yup, rock is back and I hope that bands like this will kick out for good some of the electronic music crap, with no talent, that floods the waves nowadays. They really deserves what the success they have. I hope they conquer the world and inspire a lot of new musicians / artists.

Here in Atlanta, they were originally in a 550 ticket venue. That sold out (I got M&G). They upgraded to the 1500 ticket venue, and that sold out quickly (for Atlanta). I'm hoping next round they are doing the bigger venues where fans can enjoy the day in Atlanta. Underground is still a place that kinda sucks. If I didn't have a burrito around me, I'd skip walking anywhere (inside joke for TWA).

They sold out a 10,000 seat venue in Mexico City in I believe a little over 24 hours almost a year in advance of the show. Enough to schedule a second show in the same venue. I think that show also sold out, not as quickly, but sold out nonetheless, and those shows are still not until February 2025. I expect they literally could sell out a single 20,000 plus seat arena in Mexico City.
Look out world, The Warning are going be selling out arenas and stadiums before very long. Sad that the US music industry is so far behind in regard to this phenomenal band.

The US music industry is abysmal. I am not sure if it is required for Mexico due to the trade alliance, but bands are paying $1500 for each band member for "Artist Visa's". There is next to no airplay for foreign artists and there is virtually NO distribution support. Bands like The Warning, Bloodywood and anything remotely "underground" suffer. The only ways left to break into the US are touring with a big act here, or massive social media coverage.
It is one of the reasons I do what I do here. 😉

Hey Pentagenarian, did you hear the Ren situation and the song that goes with it? If not, first watch his 35 minute video in which he explains the situation surrounding "Sick Boi" and why the video was offline. And then "KUJO Beat Down" - even if only privately, it's worth it. Greetings

My reaction will be up in the next couple of days. I saw Ren's video explaining the situation. I am looking forward to it!
