The “Get Back” series has tried to repatriate Yoko and I started thinking for a while that she really wasn’t a negative force in the break up of the Beatles. But I’ve been looking at the histories and hearing the audio and she is exactly the dark force that I always thought. And the myth about how her and John met is quite diabolical.
John was screwed up far before Yoko, without Yoko, he would have been worse off, at least she kept him mostly solid and grounded. He was more depressed then his entire life before Yoko
@@insideluxuryparis8148 I’m a Beatle freak who runs a Beatle freak channel, I have done research, believe me. Read hunter davies book, the way Lennon speaks during the interview section, it’s hauntingly sad, he seems so lonely, out of love with dear Cyn
I'd like to still have those two issues of "Rolling Stone". And all those before it. They are selling beyond my pay grade. "Y'now" is a pause for thought.
I once had a friend who constantly uttered "y'know." Six years ago, I blocked her on Facebook and so we're not friends anymore. Besides, she's trailer trash. :(
I think a lot of you need to understand that this interview was angry and for a very big reason. The Beatles had just broken up, and John was being sued by his best friend, even though he himself had been told to stay quiet about it for an entire year. John was bitter, and his interviews in 1980 show a very different person who’d had time to think and reflect on a lot of things

I wish John had never met Yoko. It makes me sad how his life turned out. She was bad for him. I feel so sorry for Julian 😢

Deos Yoko ever fail to interject the word "artist"? And being "honest, and all that".
Hearing this again made me realize how terrible or an interviewer Jann Wenner is.
Probably feeling intimidated by Lennon’s reputation
I'd love to get £10 for every time John says: Y'know? 😉

I'd also be pretty happy with getting $10 for every time John says: bullshit

Is the full recording of the Playboy Interview from 1980 out there?
