I had some strips left over from my heat mat last time, so I cut some strips to the same width and put them together into a handbag that fits my ipad and phone and is easy to carry between the studio and home. Colors and simple lines are what I like.

This is such a beautiful bag but I’m not sure a domestic sewing machine could cope with all those thicknesses 😊
Use 3-4mm thick cotton, two layers of cotton will not be too thick.
Try a denim needle with your domestic machine and also if you do have a walking foot...
I do have that same problem, but I made quite a few bags using less thick materials and it's all good
@@marindaadamson8030correct, but it still depends on the type of sewing machines you have
you just need a walking foot then the sewing machine will easily cope. I made a tshirt quilt for my son using a normal domestic machine and walking foot it was just as thick just remember to defluff the bobbin case regularly.
