Joe Bonamassa is on of the best artist, businessmen, and humble human beings there could ever be.
He speaks truth and has the scars to prove it.
His shows are a clinic on how a concert should be done, masterful and heartfelt every time.
Enjoy this man while you can, he is national treasure of blues based guitar music and in my opinion the best there is.
See you in Cleveland February 22nd 👍🎸😎

I love the blues I have been playing guitar since 71, and I saw Joe on PBS and was so grateful for what he has done for the blues, all the newer acts are great. I play to CDs I am not hi tech, so I still buy and enjoy them. Keep them Blues alive.

Even growing up in the mid-2000s, when iTunes dominated, I never got the appeal of paying for products you couldn't physically touch or hold in your hands. So if I'm buying a CD at a gig, I can guarantee it's getting played.

Brian Johnson bought a garage opening up shop as he was "too old to Rock 'n Roll", then AC/DC called and a few months later Back in Black was recorded. 🤷🏼‍♂️😆
Keep grinding, we're a lot of people out here that appreciate the hard work coming out of the contemporary blues scene, few other genres can compete in terms of creativity and talent because of that hard work. 🎶
(And yeah, though I use streaming platforms I'm done with the money grabbing company Spotify, they sicken me)

You know apart from Doing Great Music and Blues Joe Bonamassa is a Nice Guy - I met Stevie Ray once - and he was nice to me - still can't believe I met him - he was on the level like Joe - Straight up - Joe reminds me of Stevie Ray - not the tone or the style - Just Both Straight up - Blues Greats
Blues is a Great Genre - Samantha Fish - she is up there - with her own Style - I sure would like to hear him live and Jamming - Fantastic

He was rattling off first names and I still knew who he was talking about. I couldn't do that with current pop acts.

Blame Ticket master and live nation for the higher concert prices Joe's shows are way to high priced.

you just have to look at the Ticket prices from Oasis in the UK. It is a complete disaster...

@12pak Joe's shows are stupid expensive these days. The ironic part is, Joe and Roy are NOT to blame. It's Live Nation and Ticketmaster. The fact that they can own and run a monopoly in this day and age is sad. More and more monopolies are being created every single month and no one is doing anything about it in our government.

Last year we had tickets that were $90. That show is worth every single penny.

    • @TheRange7
      @TheRange7 2 місяці тому +2

@@ShadysMyCat LOL, my tickets in 2017 were 160 a seat for 11 rows from the stage left of center. The same seats now are well over 400 per. I'm not going to a show unless I have good seats or it's in a tiny 1000 seat venue with all good seats. I went to a few Hawks and Bulls games and sat in the nosebleed section. You could barely see anything other than tiny figures moving about. I'm not a seat snob, but between parking, gas, dinner, and tix, it's an expensive night out. If I'm doing it, I want to be close enough to see the musicians.

The only artist in the Blues/Blues Rock world I'd even consider to pay to go see is JB. I think the rest of them are mediocre at best. JB set the bar so high, the others are just way outta their league trying to compete for my money. I've seen so many Blues bands locally taht are so much better than the the names mentioned by JB here, it's sad. Will they ever get a shot?

    • @TheRange7

@@JohnFreeman-d6t John, I love Kingfish. Ally is another one whose music doesn't move me. Not saying she's not a very solid player by any means, just not my thing. I'm more of an old school guy likely because I'm older than dirt. We saw BB and Bobby Bland do a live show in 77 or 78 locally. Growing up on the west side of Chicago, I kind of have blinders on and really only like a certain flavor of Blues and Blues Rock. Joanne Shaw Taylor and Joanna Conner are a few of my favorite female Blues players. Vanessa Collier also gets a high recommendation from me. This stuff is all so subjective. Basically there is no right or wrong...if you like the music, that's all that counts

Kind of weird that Joe is blaming the high cost of touring on restaurant and hotel costs and not blaming the high cost of tickets on TicketMaster and LiveNation. Everyone laughed at Pearl Jam back in the 90s when they tried to avoid using the arenas that were owned by TM/LN. Now everyone is having to pay $200 a ticket to see Joe Nobody and going boo hoo how did this happen? Joe has given a lot of good practical advice on YT on all aspects of being a music artist. But in this video he is just chickening out due to the fact that he gets in on this overpriced concert tours.
