Hello ma'am, I have a doubt.. Ma'am in last stanza can the explanation of "to put these people at one stroke out of their pain" be that the poet wanted to end their pain by killing them? Bcoz the follow up lines also match this explanation "i wonder how i should like you to come to me and offer to put me gently out of my pain" as to how the poet would feel if he is in the place of the villagers and someone would ask them to end their pain by killing them.. ma'am your explanation also felt right but can it have multiple interpretations and can the explanation i told be valid?? Actually this was how the answer was explained to us in school so I'm confused on which one we should go by so please answer this ma'am.. thanku
