- Not everybody has the budget to buy a jointer. But with this trick, no jointer equals no problem. Use this table saw hack if you want to join two long boards without a gap.

That is head-slappingly logical and thank you so much for sharing!
Thank you for leaving me this awesome comment. Greetings.
I've seen hundreds of jointing board videos and this is the best
Simple and fabulous
Thank you so much for your kind words, my friend. That is much appreciated. Greetings, Christophe
Thanks man, i will use that. Keep sharing.👍👍👍
That is awesome to hear, Marco. I'm glad this video has inspired you. Greetings, Christophe
@@christofix 👍👍👍
Hi CF,
This is something I would never have thought of. Again so simple and genius. I would advise you not to use screws, but for example double-sided adhesive tape. So you don't have any markings. Man oh man what an idea.

Thats a great idea working with that tape, thanks for sharing that, Willy! Thanks for watching, and see you in the next one. Greetings
Or painters tape on each and super glue
@@JG-po5cv Thanks for sharing this idea with us. Greetings
Simple and brilliant. Strong work
Thank you, my friend. It is a trick I learned many years ago. It works great, and I use it from time to time.
Supertip. Again thx.
Thanks buddy. I use this from time to time, and it always gives me great results. I'm glad you like it too. Hope you are doing well. Groetjes ( om dan toch even in onze moedertaal te antwoorden, hahaha)
Genial 👍👌
Thank you so much, Carlos. Greetings from Belgium, Christophe
Just use a jack plane job done
You can do that, but in case you don't have one, you can use this trick. Thanks for watching.
Nice
Thanks, buddy!
Impressive but what about the two outer long edges? it sadly counts for little if these are not also square..
Well, that's a good question. You can solve this by bringing the fence just a little closer to the blade and turning the wood. This way, the straight line you just made will lie along the fence, and you can use it as a reference to make the other side straight. I hope I was able to write this clearly and that you understand what I mean.
Just run the jointed side against the fence.
@@thumbwiz With respect… Yes and no! When the two boards are joined together and fixed to the jig if the edge running along the fence is not square already when u then cut through the middle of the two boards that too will become un square also, yes the centre cut edges will meet up fine but the whole thing will or could be out of square…
@@noodlesiis I think you misunderstood. If you separate the boards after this video, and then run the freshly cut edge along the fence, they will become perfectly square. It's the same as running one side on an actual jointer, then running that jointed side along the table saw fence.
@@thumbwiz No sorry respectfully your wrong.. How can you be sure the cut you’ve already made is square to the fence? that cut was following what might be an un square edge in the first place which means now your two cut pieces are also un square to the fence, their squareness can only mirror whatever runs down that fence..

Древняя но эффективная технология
Спасибо за положительный комментарий, мой друг. Я ценю это. С уважением
Now you have screw holes in your workpiece
That is indeed a downside of this method. There was this other viewer who suggested to use tape for this. I will keep that in mind, maybe this will help you too. Thank you for watching my video.
@Harold I'm not an idiot. Not like it showed them fixing the hole in the video and under no circumstance can you make it entirely undetectable. Not to mention the piece is now structurally damaged, not just visually. Small as it may be it's not worth damaging in the first place if you're going to have to fix it when it's done. Just make a straight cut jig or use a construction level against the fence when making the cut. People who are actual carpenters know there are at least a thousand ways to skin a cat and not just cover up your mistake when you could avoid it entirely instead.
@Harold oh and I'm pretty sure actual carpenters wouldn't be watching this guy's content for legitimate wood working tips as they are all pretty terrible. But I'm sure you can find something here to enjoy with your severe lack of knowledge on the matter. 👌
@Harold I just gave you real and effective wood working advice and you came back with feminism and pronouns instead of an actual response. It seems like your pride has been wounded. Seriously let me know if either of those jointing methods are proven to not work and I'll admit I'm wrong.
damn dude you got all the tricks!!!
Thank you for watching my video.
