I got Hollow Knight's platinum in this video and it took so long that I might have lost some years off my life. This video was extremely difficult to make but was fun none the less!

As a hollow knight player, seeing someone not just spam spells on every boss is de finetly an experience
Honestly saving your soul for absrad or just the radiance is fun, it encourages you to parry either sealed vessel or pure vessel.

I don't think people understand how truly hard hollow knight is. This guy did everything way better, improved faster, and went farther than me. I had a good 120hr in the game, but I wasn't even able to beat p4. This man beat p5.
Also, some people have done it hitless, with all bindings. Ie, they can only cast one spell at a time, their nail does minimal damage, and no charms.
i spent 200 hours in this game and i just have p5 left. i have never banged my head against a wall harder

You can’t beat the pantheon unless you get good, took me close to a week of hours of practice to beat all the pantheons, never felt more accomplished in a game than when that platinum hit! I herd people use some glitch to do it, I don’t get why, you out in all that effort just to give up at the last min?

that was an actually fun experience for me on hollow knight the only thing that keeps new players back is that they dont understand how useful spells can be even without charms.....so new players if you read this pls try your spells more then once or twice

I didn’t use spells until I decided to do the pantheon, never really saw much use for them, boy was I wrong.
@@ronthorn3especially since descending dark gives you I-frames. It’s literally a get out of jail free card and it does damage in the process

I've attempted it on a previous account prior, and I think I have a better shot this time.
It's just like the Celeste Platinum, the second time going through it made me better for the challenges at the end than I ever was before.
It's a great game and I'm just getting ready for the godhome parts.

Pure ascension. My man. I was there with you at the end, feeling how you could finally let it go. Best gaming experience ever. The "I fkin did it" moment. At the same time, when it comes to myself, I feel happiness and sadness at times like this, seeing how the game's basically over. Sure, you could hang around and do more stuff, but it still feels like something has ended. Everything else, like the bindings, are more artificial difficulty. At least that's how I feel. Anyway, great video! Subscribed.

35:20 this is my favourite part, gota say its way easier in PS than PC specially the other achievements that's a hell of a grind (also the controls that make some movements impossible). Also massive respect for not doing the invisibility glich

I know it is not that interesting for Platinum-hunters to go overboard. But let me tell you as a "veteran" in this game there are some small easter eggs to find. I think the one a lot of people know about is "Path of Pain". You can also get an entry for beating all bosses in Godhome on the hardest difficulty. Just to name a few. Loved to see you evolve throughout your journey getting better and better at the game. I am still waiting for Silksong......am hoping it will be soon. Very well done. 👌

Damn bro, I fell in love with this game during the pandemic. I played the game on PC, and have every achievement EXCEPT beating the pantheon of hallownest. I 100% the game in steel soul mode, and even completed the path of pain… but gave up on beating the 5th pantheon. You’ve inspired me to try again tho, so hopefully I can beat it before hollow knight silk song releases!

I feel such a huge sense of camaraderie when I watch people finishing Pantheon 5, having finished it too recently. It’s such a struggle but such a rush when you finally get over the line 😊

Hollow knight is one of my all time faves. It's the first game for which I got all the achievements on steam which I believe include three more than the PS platinum, those being: Speedrun 1 (complete the game in under 10 hours), Speedrun 2 (complete the game in under 5 hours) and speed completion (complete the game with 100% completion in under 20 hours). I also went through the hell of beating every boss on radiant. I truly love this game and I wish I could forget everything about it and experience it blindly once more.

Until I saw that the fifth one required to refight every boss in a row in which I responded with “fuck no, baby!”
I was seeing your frustration before Radiance and I knew immediately that you didn't fight him before so I was praying for your soul haha fun video, you did great to be in there in like 5 days, normally would take waaay long even if you had Zote and Radiance experience

For me, I spent a whole year asking myself whether or not I’d actually do P5. By the time I decided to actually do it, I got it within 3 attempts because I knew most of the bosses like the back of my hand. For context, I’d fight Pure Vessel and NKG for fun on the daily, do AbsRad and Markoth were the only bosses that I actually needed practice on.
This video help me through the most painful shit of my life, thank you.

PD: I dont remember excactly what requirements u need, but you can fight the Radiance on the champaing, After beating the HK Hornet comes and cracks him open and you use your dreamnail to enter his mind and beat Radiance, there you get the "Best" ending
U need Void Heart instead of Kingsoul (transform it), i wont tell you how just look it up.
Once you get Void Heart Hornet will be standing just outside the Black Egg and she'll tell you something about that its your battle but she'll help if an oppertunity arises

Hollow Knight is totally my favorite game of all time!!! The only thing I have not completed in this game is the Pantheons. ... Ok I also haven't done a speed run but...I personally find speed runs insane. For me personally, finishing Steel Soul is easier than a speed run. And Steel Soul took me like 5 attempts! 😅The Path of Pain was one hell of a challenge too.
I have gotten through the first three pantheons with most of the bindings and unlocked the fourth pantheon. It's just such a long grueling battle that I haven't finished.
Oh BTW I have the Nintendo Switch version, so I don't really get trophies... but there is still a menu where you can see the achievements because that's built into the game itself and not system exclusive.

I respect this guy for beating a boss multiple times in practcing before actually fighting them unlike other youtubers who would beat anything in practice once and try and do the real thing.

@@pothebroeye bindings are too hard cus I normally do heaps of damage with melee and then UNLEASH spells. But bindings ruin melee damage and I can’t store soul 😢
10:50 protip, you can clear the path before, it takes quite some time and running the same path couple of times but it makes it easy af

I wonder if that's a thing many people do on first runs, or it's just me and him. Everything not unlimited always scares me, takes of lot of getting used to and very confortable with soul management to play with spells, 3-4 playthroughs at least. First one I had quick focus, baldur, long nail and quick slash, feeling like it was the only way ever to finish the game. Then it's like removing the little wheels of the bike one by one and getting used to.
Guess a good part of the autistic parts of the HK crowd relate: find a stable infinite-attack functionning way and stick with this comfort, not sure if more people do that.
it’s just nice having to only spam attack and use soul to heal. Abyss shriek and d-dark goes hard tho

I feel like Grey Prince Zote took me the longest to learn out of all the boss fights, I don’t know why, I always got super sweaty when it was time to fight him and I’d lose sight of that goal.
Ugh Zote! He ruined my first playthroughs godhome run. I started a new game and DID NOT save him.

New players tend to forget, how OP can spells be with Shaman Stone. For example, you had many soul when fighting Watcher Knight's, and you could've used them.

I got HK platinum on pc, there was 63 achievements, but playthrough was just like your(except achievements like do steel soul(without dying), complete the game in less than 2 hours, do steel soul 100% and a couple of others)
I did it too a while back. It is truly one of the best feelings in gaming, platinuming a masterpiece like this game

My favorite thing to do in this game is tank the hell out of every boss. No matter how long it takes. It’s super fun just rushing at them with quickslash, pure nail, and undreakable strength and just annihilating them. Wether it take 1 try, or 30. Fun times.

heya! nice job on the platinum! i was listening to you talk about absrad being a godhome exclusive. while this is true there is a easier version of absrad just called the radiance. accessible by getting the void heart and having hornet assist you in thk fight. when she needles thk you can dreamnail him entering the radiance fight.
