RadioActive Burrito Gaming Class cards are exempt because Blizzard has to make sure that different classes are desirable to play. It's not like anybody is ever going to need to compare the two spells, they're part of different classes. It comes with the class. But War Golem and Dr. Boom are both neutral, meaning they must be compared. But one of them is objectively better than the other. That's also why class cards are generally better than neutral cards, they want each class to have its own flavor. Also Mortal Strike would probably be a bit broken in Aggro Warrior if it was Fireball.

Firstly, '2' was intentional overstatement to make a point. Also, i mean must-include cards. Dupli, Deaths Bite, webspinner, cultist is class cards. Loatheb is rare now, creeper is played in hunter only (i know theres a lot of them but still), UT is dead after nerf, Shade is VERY rare. Kel is very rare and low value. Egg is played only in zoo. When did you played against zoo last time? I personally dont remember. So, 1. It was intentional 2. They're not that widely used. Mostly by 1 deck. (and some of mentioned even less)
Dr boom isnt easy to get when you play f2p. You have a really hard time getting dust and gold when you face hunters and mechmages in lower brackets every second game. You just have enough dust to build against one of them in one class. So you whether lose against face hunters or the mechmages or against dr boom turn 7. Thx blizzard your card game is fun
I'm F2P and I have Boom, Sylvanas, Cairne, Ragnaros, Geddon, Cho, Hogger, Onyxia, Malorne, Jaraxxus, and Mal'Ganis, plus the Naxx legendaries. I've disenchanted: Leeroy (full price after nerf), a 2nd Jaraxxus, Flame Leviathan, and Toshley. Yesterday I got Toshley and a golden Hemet. I don't know what legendary to craft with Hemet's dust... but F2P hasn't really been difficult for me.
It amazes me that people whine about Dr Boom and not Rag. It's like we've all just come to accept the ridiculous OP-ness of Rag, Ysera and jaraxus and have moved on with our lives.
That is because Rag is a single creature that will hit a random enemy, Ysera costs 9 mana to play not to mention the cards you get are random so it´s very slow + if you can pull out a shrinkmeister + cabal shadow priest you can actualy steal it , Jaraxxus makes you have 15 health permanently---->while Dr.Boom is a War Golem with 2 wisps that can do 1-4 dmg to random enemy.......so ye balanced Kappa

The Boom Bots are completely random both in damage output and who the bombs hit. That's Why Blizzard won't nerf them. Good counters for Boom Bots are silences and beefy minions that can soak up the damage. But if you feel the Boom Bots are such a problem, how about this? Change Dr. Boom's text to say: "Summon two 0/1 Boom Bots" so that way it's harder for the bombs to be triggered.

They don't need to. He's completely balanced. Thanks to something called Handlock, everyone carries Shadow Word Death and BGH so Dr. Boom dies instantly, and the Boom bots are completely random. Plus, he's a legendary so you can only have one in your deck.

Most decks already had BGH before GvG. I don't think it's a problem, the problem is that BGH is the only neutral card that counters big creatures so imo there should be more answers to big creatures.
Ben Brode watched this video and has confirmed that wisps will now become legendary to put them more in line with the intended power of Dr. Boom. Thank God they fixed this exploit!
I can't remember where I first saw it, but the first bit of advice I saw before I started playing with Dr Boom: Step 1: hit 7 mana and play Dr Boom. Step 2: ???? Step 3: Profit Given that I primarily play him in shaman and occasionally there'll be a play that I can't ignore (such as Fire Elemental getting good value) it's not as black and white as that makes it appear, but generally you're going to do fine if you play him on turn 7. XP

I think Dr. Boom should be 7 mana, because there aren't that many 7 mana creatures in the game, but give him less health, like maybe a 7/6 that has bombs that do 1-3 damage. That way the randomness is a little more controlled, and it at least dies to some removal.
Corret me if Im wrong but when I play Dr Boom it comes onto the board at first and then it drops his bombs right? That would basically mean the Sword of J should give Dr Boom his +1/+1 mark at first and the the bombs right? I had recently only 1/5 stats on my sword but it always ended up giving one of the bombs the +1/+1 mark instead of Dr Boom. Did I miss sth or is this supposed to work this way?
LiangHuBBB Battlecries trigger before the creature lands, regardless of what the animation looks like. That's why Keeper of the Grove pinging off a Scientist will trigger the Mirror Entity that Scientist pulls, because in the game logic, it functions as "Ping Scientist -> Deathrattle triggers playing Mirror Entity -> Summon Keeper -> Mirror Keeper" Similarly, Dr. Boom actually summons his two boom bots before landing on the board, hence why your sword buffs the bot. (It's actually better this way, a 7/7 and a 2/2 is better in pretty much every situation than an 8/8 and a 1/1)
The funniest thing is that Game Director's Eric Dodds says "Dr Balanced" instead of "Dr Boom". I almost cried. (Also, his voice looks a lot like Artosis)
The idea with collective Attack/Health of minions spawned from a card is "the more minions that are spawned from a single card, the more the collective stats for the cards cost." This is to compensate for the enemy being able to pick off minions and handle it better.
Currently Hearthstone has four phases in the game: the early game, the mid game, the Dr. Boom turn and the late game. During the Boom turn both players aim to waste both their own and their opponent's time by playing a little mini-game of 'Kill the Doc'. At this point of the game earlier board presence or held cards matter very little since nothing really trades efficiently with the card, and there is really no bad time to play it (thus, if a player has it, they'll play it as soon as they can with a 99% certainty). At the moment, why I feel that what Dr. Boom hurts the game so much is the very same reason why Undertaker used to be so oppressive and unfun to go against. Often a difference of mere 1 point of health kept the Undertaker from being at least somewhat competently dealt with. If Boom had 6 health, a player could use some of the common 6-drops (Fire Elementals, Savannah Highmanes or, heck, even Boulderfist Ogres) to at least kill the main body without losing even the rest of their advantage and tempo in the ensuing nuclear fallout of the Boom Bots. And speaking of which, the Boom Bots are not the source of the problem. In fact they're the very reason why Dr. Boom is so awesome and flavorful. Thanks to that very coolness factor, Boom was probably my most anticipated card of GvG on the whole, until he appeared goddamn everywhere and people realized that he's just not a fun card to go against.
My propsal for doctor boom: A 7/7 who spawns two 0/1s with deathrattle "Deal 1-4 damage to a random character" That means it can hit friendlies too. It is 7/7 (war golem stats) with two minions that aren't absolutely good for you.
Wisps cost nothing. In other words, wisp = infinite value

Im f2p and have all of naxx and pretty much every good legendary you can imagine. Just get 12 wins in arena 10+ times and its easy

I can't remember where I first saw it, but the first bit of advice I saw before I started playing with Dr Boom:
Step 1: hit 7 mana and play Dr Boom.
Step 2: ????
Step 3: Profit
Given that I primarily play him in shaman and occasionally there'll be a play that I can't ignore (such as Fire Elemental getting good value) it's not as black and white as that makes it appear, but generally you're going to do fine if you play him on turn 7. XP

I think Dr. Boom should be 7 mana, because there aren't that many 7 mana creatures in the game, but give him less health, like maybe a 7/6 that has bombs that do 1-3 damage. That way the randomness is a little more controlled, and it at least dies to some removal.

Corret me if Im wrong but when I play Dr Boom it comes onto the board at first and then it drops his bombs right? That would basically mean the Sword of J should give Dr Boom his +1/+1 mark at first and the the bombs right? I had recently only 1/5 stats on my sword but it always ended up giving one of the bombs the +1/+1 mark instead of Dr Boom. Did I miss sth or is this supposed to work this way?
LiangHuBBB Battlecries trigger before the creature lands, regardless of what the animation looks like. That's why Keeper of the Grove pinging off a Scientist will trigger the Mirror Entity that Scientist pulls, because in the game logic, it functions as "Ping Scientist -> Deathrattle triggers playing Mirror Entity -> Summon Keeper -> Mirror Keeper"
Similarly, Dr. Boom actually summons his two boom bots before landing on the board, hence why your sword buffs the bot. (It's actually better this way, a 7/7 and a 2/2 is better in pretty much every situation than an 8/8 and a 1/1)

The idea with collective Attack/Health of minions spawned from a card is "the more minions that are spawned from a single card, the more the collective stats for the cards cost." This is to compensate for the enemy being able to pick off minions and handle it better.

Currently Hearthstone has four phases in the game: the early game, the mid game, the Dr. Boom turn and the late game. During the Boom turn both players aim to waste both their own and their opponent's time by playing a little mini-game of 'Kill the Doc'. At this point of the game earlier board presence or held cards matter very little since nothing really trades efficiently with the card, and there is really no bad time to play it (thus, if a player has it, they'll play it as soon as they can with a 99% certainty).
At the moment, why I feel that what Dr. Boom hurts the game so much is the very same reason why Undertaker used to be so oppressive and unfun to go against. Often a difference of mere 1 point of health kept the Undertaker from being at least somewhat competently dealt with. If Boom had 6 health, a player could use some of the common 6-drops (Fire Elementals, Savannah Highmanes or, heck, even Boulderfist Ogres) to at least kill the main body without losing even the rest of their advantage and tempo in the ensuing nuclear fallout of the Boom Bots.
And speaking of which, the Boom Bots are not the source of the problem. In fact they're the very reason why Dr. Boom is so awesome and flavorful. Thanks to that very coolness factor, Boom was probably my most anticipated card of GvG on the whole, until he appeared goddamn everywhere and people realized that he's just not a fun card to go against.
My propsal for doctor boom: A 7/7 who spawns two 0/1s with deathrattle "Deal 1-4 damage to a random character"
That means it can hit friendlies too. It is 7/7 (war golem stats) with two minions that aren't absolutely good for you.
