First year dental student from Sydney, Australia here. By far the most interesting and unique dental UA-camr. No one else compares or comes close to the caliber of content that is uploaded
This is really inspiring! I think many of us were probably left with a desire for a bit more "meat and potatoes" type info though. For example, he's clearly busy but HOW busy? How many patients is he seeing daily? Is the bulk of the production higher yield procedures (big extract and insert cases, implants, molar endos with cerec crowns, impacted wisdom teeth etc - and what percentage of each makes up his day). Are the systems he alluded to primarily related to case presentation or are there other chair-side systems (like expanded function assistants for example or hygienists routinely numbing patients in advance of the docs arrival)? I'd love to come away from a video like this with some more concrete ideas on what I should be aspiring to in terms of raw metrics and implementable solutions to make my practice more productive, but still grateful for your work as always!
I’m learning a lot from your videos bro! Thank you! I’m trying to get into dental school soon (hopefully if all goes well with this DAT I could apply this cycle). Just give me a couple years to get more established within the field and I’d love to connect with you and exchange ideas haha
I really like Joel's videos but most of this information is hard to grasp without seeing Dr. Morkos' daily schedule. 10 million divided by their 5 dentists is 2 million. What sort of schedule does a dentist have to produce 2 million dollars?
It's a fair criticism. In general, interview videos (recordings of someone on Zoom) on UA-cam don't play as well as produced videos that are more editorialized. So I try and take the learnings from an interview and distill it down. I'm trying to find the right balance.
@@jmey meet Kevin just slaps up the raw footage and they are great to listen to. It sometime feels like here he was going to expand upon points more and they were edited out. Overall great tho!
What systems do you have in your life / practice to keep things organized? 📸Add me on Instagram - instagram.com/meyersonjoel/
Great video man, all pre dents and young dentist need to be subscribed to your channel!
thank you!! I agree, please share it! ;)

Really awesome video yet again Joel! Im glad you were able to break down the interview. Dr. Morkos seems like an awesome dentist!
ty Nak!! Kero is a really great guy.
Bro this channel is a gem 💎 especially with only having 20k subs like wow

Did it work out?
Good video what kind of procedures is he doing everyday to get those production numbers
I know he's doing complex surgery and immediate implants, but added to my list of questions for him during my future follow up interview
I am really interested in knowing his everyday appointments e.g. how many patients and what kind of treatments. Also what's his profit split .
Love these videos! Big coincidence McKinney happens to be 15 minutes from me lol
you should apply to work there ;)

About 160K/mo in production.
Dr. Joel, I'm curious, did you have to see/ interact with cadavers in Dental School, or not? Thanks in advance!
I did! We did a full body dissection in first year gross anatomy
Can you make a video on personal statements?
this would be SO helpful!
@@Talhamtaha right! Medical school headquarters channel is insane and there's no one like that for Dental school
my friend Alex Takshyn has made some good videos on the DAT Bootcamp UA-cam! Not really my area of expertise
Hello Joel what are the average profit margins of a dental practice?
if you're not working there, 15-25% general range
Just to see how this is possible is inspiring
Me + 2 hygenists + 2 Assistants + 4 receptionists = 10??!? Unless you are worth 2 people's work, haha. 1:36
lol, making videos is hard
U should speak less and let the guest speak more

It’s not his fault I didn’t give him much to work with lol ... I stuttered a lot. Trust me.
