They are from the same city as Meshuggah and Refused (Umeå). Three of the best live bands ever, all from one small city in northern Sweden (population 90k). Kind of crazy.

I can safely argue that "Mariner" was, surely, the best record of 2016, by far! I haven't heard an album with such powerful musicianship in quite a while, plus Julie's vocals were out of this goddamn world.
Adding Julie as a texture to your sound was genius. Amazing band, amazing vocalist, and the end result is amazing. Thank you very much, Cygnus is an absolute masterpiece.
This Album is epic and gets played all the time. thank you! The amazing Perturbator remix of Cygnus sent me down the rabbit hole of actually learning a bit about the collaboration!
Please please please say you recorded the full gigs and plan to release a full live Mariner performance at some point! Years in a day was great, but I didn't have a chance to catch the tour with Julie.

I thought it was on the normal album, which I bought, but I just noticed there's a LIVE version of it! (new CoL / JC fan here :P)
Julie 's voice blows me away anyways, I just love it but her voice on top of and alongside cult of luna is one of the most incredible things I've ever heard! I wish I could've seen this live, just fucking mind blowing!
I wish they skipped the male growls (they are unnecessary and sounding too conventional and polished, compared to Julie's raw energy bursts) and you have it - pure perfection!

One of the best, if not THE best and most intense concert of my life. Just watching this gave me goose bumps and brought tears to my eyes.

I've only just discovered Mariner this past year. One of my favorite albums I've ever heard. What a show that must have been... damn.
