Picking up a bike for my 1000 mile road trip and then...

- Just picked up the Harley Road Glide for my next solo road trip, and went to meet a fellow biker chick at my new local shop, Triumph Roswell: probably my favorite place in Georgia. I meant to give Moto Blonde and myself a tour of the dealership side... but then the owner was in today, and gave us a tour behind the scenes, formerly a custom motorcycle shop!
Here's the video riding Gordy's Speed Twin! • Short girl vs FASTEST ...
MotoBlonde's video on the visit

Nice
Well, you know you're really startin' to get there now, Doodle... people are starting to recognize you! When you walk into a new shop and the owners look up and go "Hey, look, it's the famous girl!", you're making a splash. Keep up the great work!
😎📸🤪
In the machine shop you said “it smells good” and he said “that’s because of the oil” This means you’re a bona fide petrol head, a machine motorcycle loving die hard. Your experiences and love for everything motorcycles is truly admirable! If anyone needs proof of this they just have to watch your amazing bagger trip in torrential rain. Then they’ll never question if you’re a down-home motorcyclist and in it for the long-haul! Respect👍
It's the smell of hard working, industrial, infrastructure America. And I love it.
way oil smells different from motor oil.
@@sc7882 yep mill and lathe. You got a love a machine shop..
Coffee and bikes. Great combination and very cool owner.
Doodle I can't help it...I'm a little bit in love with you. A young woman who loves bikes and is excited about a machine shop... My heart jumped a little . I say that in pure moto admiration of course . I rode through Orlando and up the East Coast through Daytona on my Honda VFR. The traffic is fast and heavy so go at traffic speeds ( fast ) and lead instead of follow. I passed a Trooper doing 85 and he didn't even blink . But. I had tail , saddle bags and a tank bag so I'm sure he knew I was a traveler and not just some street blitzer . Have a good trip young lady !
What did you think was the coolest part of the behind the scenes tour? Was it Gordy's favorite room? 😜
The whole setup is cool, and your and Moto Blonde’s excitement are infectious. I used to think a bookshop/coffee shop was the dream setup (still great), but a bike shop/coffee shop is basically heaven on earth. The Bike Shed in London certainly comes to mind. It’s kind of a riot that your new found baggerhood makes the Rocket III seem kinda normal :) Actually, I think the Scrambler XE, though a bit tall for you, looks great and sounds fantastic.
I loved that New Triumph store, I will have to drive down and see it!!
Def the machine shop. Dig his homemade swingarm on the FXR
…. and MotoBlonde repping the Northeast accent.
Yeah that is a pretty hard-core setup. Looks like a new sponsor?
When people have the gift of Charisma every we're they go People like them and that's Doodle for you guys.
Loved the Gordie segment - what a cool guy! It's so refreshing to see a real biker owning a dealership... machine shop?! "I used to own 35!" Props for another great video, Doods! :-)
Thanks for all your content! Love "riding" along with you on your adventures and that you don't sugar coat the bad stuff. Nice that you have a new Triumph shop so much closer. Loved seeing the machine shop in the back and that they can make anything they can't find.
I really enjoyed how open he was to show y’all around. Really cool.
Good to know that Roswell Triumph is now open. Since Hourglass Triumph dealership closed the nearest dealer to me was to the west of Atlanta.
This was an awesome video, to have an owner who just opened the shop to you guys is what makes riding truly a community! Stay safe
There is a nice important message in one of your videos explaining the feeling of quitting the norm, your job, to do what you feel inside. You have pushed through so much rain, and advice to be where you want to be. You need t-shirt that says "push through the storm" 😂, because that's you. Great channel and stories.
OOOOOOHHH ⛈ ⚡️ 💪🏽
Local builder makes good and becomes a Triumph Dealer. That machine shop is the best part of all he showed you ladies. Gordy is such a gracious host. Thanks and happy travels to see your Mom. Bet she never saw her little princess growing up to become a nation renowned celebrity and a biker to boot. Take her for a ride, and she just might realize why you do it. Warmest regards and best wishes.
You funny 🤪
This was a great tour of the Shop! Thanks to All!!
Love your enthusiasm for bikes of every make here's to never losing that .and congratulations on your first long distance ride
So nice to see someone doing what they enjoy , keep smiling 🙂 Thanks for sharing
great to see our local shops on the channel!
Nice to see Triumph over there, i did cringe slightly when i heard "Rule Britannia" playing in the background in that beautiful showroom. Good video :)
🇬🇧🤪
Love the combination of motorcycles and coffee brappp brappp. Cool video Doodle. Thank you
Nothing better than a motorcycle shop around Christmas
Thats really cool..!! 👍👌😎
I like it this way too.. It's fun and keeps me more in touch with you and what ya doing. It makes me feel that I know you and what you are up to at other times.. 👍 like it very much 👌✌
It’s a very cool shop. The mounted tires on my Tiger a couple weeks ago. Great to sit in the coffee shop and hang out while it was being serviced.
You go Girl!! You do You!!! So proud of you 👍
Hi Doodle, It's good to hear you've got your Triumph back after all this time! The Triumph Roswell dealership was an exciting place to visit, with so many bikes on show and their own workshop, equipped with great machinery to make any unavailable part, a great service to provide. So another 1,000 mile trip on a Road Glide coming up, providing comfort on long rides. I wish you a pleasant and safe journey, and hope the weather is kind to you.
Love those Triumph's... You rock Doodle, but I can't wait 'til you're riding that Street Triple again.
Doodle, your smile is the best! lol So contagious. 😁
🤪😜
As a motorcyclist for nearly 46 years I really like your videos, plus I own a Speed Twin so we have similar thinking.
What I like about your stuff is it isn't over hyped and you promote the sport in a very good way.. If you ever plan on riding up to the Chicago area try to do it the weekend of Motoblot, it will be June 24 - 26 in 2022. Cool event in the heart of the city. Hope to see you there.
I too had a pretty protective mom. I'm the "baby" (the youngest) and mom couldn't fathom I'd decide to do something so dangerous. Being 26 at the time of starting riding, I tried to show I was being as safe as possible, taking classes wearing all my gear, and while she still worries, she's grudgingly accepted it's something I do and is now part of me. Though on the good side of that, I now ask for expensive protective gear for christmas/birthdays so I don't need to shell out for it.
Hey smart!
You’re kidding, 59 in a couple of weeks and my mum still doesn’t want me to have a motorbike. You’re always their baby no matter how old.
@@jimporter Heck, I am 61 and I have not told my Mom that I have a motorcycle again. She is 93 and has dementia, but she will still worry about me!
Same for me I told my my mom I'm getting my first motercycle working at summer jobs instead of a car she say no I told her I'm gonna buy it behind her back and bring it over what do I do?
@Skreemer, Don't let the Debbie Downers run your lives. Live your dream@
Luckily, my mom was the coolest mom in the world! & Dad too.
When I was 12 my parents bought me a 1958, 175cc BSA Bantam. After saving up my paper route money for a couple of years, I upgraded to a 350 Ducati.
Mom got herself a helmet and she was out on the trails riding with me & my friends on the BSA.
(Mom's name was Barbara & they said BSA stood for Bobby's Stolen Antique)
She eventually got her M/C license and bought a brand new 1970, 250cc Suzuki Savage. She had her license before I got mine!
One of my buddies (an expert racer), had a '71 Kawi Mach lll. Mom went for a ride and she told me they were doing 100 mph over the mountain.
I didn't do "the ton" until many years later on my Bonnie.
All the relatives looked down on us for riding. Sorry folks, but we lived!
And yes - helmet, gloves, leather jackets & boots, ALWAYS REQUIRED.
Don't ever forget that, even for a "short" ride.
Two of my favorites. Bonus day for me. Ride safe Ladies. 👍
That was cool, thanks for sharing. Gordy seems like a great guy! I’m liking the Triumph brand more and more.
Your joy and enthusiasm is so infectious! Love your channel! My next bike is gonna be a Triumph Scrambler, BUT! The new Royal Enfield KX 838 is begging for a look. Safe journeys kiddo! Best to everyone here and have an amazing Holiday
Hey Doodle, it makes me chuckle thinking back to the greasy, nasty, disorganized bike shops we grew up with. Watching you two walk into a spotless coffee shop/Triumph Dealership is so cool! Hope all is well in your world, I rode quite a bit this summer on the old 97 Heritage. She's napping for the winter. Take care and enjoy being young and free! Cheers~
Very cool ,,, another great video .Loved the machine shop.
Doodle, I totally get when mom is anxious about us kids doing something they deem dangerous. But man that can have an adverse effect on us. Growing up in Hawaii, mom wouldn't let me surf or go diving like the rest of my family. And that same family turned around and made fun of me because I didn't know how to do it. So now as adults, we've got to do what we believe in. My oldest sister and my dad freaked out when I learned to ride in October at 51 years old. But we've got to be true to ourselves. I hope you will ride to Florida.
big issues with worry wart parents/significant other/sibling/co-worker:
1) They may prevent you from learning how to do whatever it is safely, so the likelihood of their fear coming true increases.
2) they plant that doubt in your head, or if you're already experienced like Doodle, they make you second guess yourself.
You have to shut those voices out and remind your brain that you know what you're doing. Or if you don't know, look for info, watch videos, take classes, etc. And later on when you talk to newbies, be the positive influence.
When my son indicated he was buying a street motorcycle, I looked over at his mom and said "are you okay with this?" Her response was "he took the class. he's talking to you." In other words, she wasn't going to be negative, as he's approaching it by trying to learn. I made it 200,000+ miles on 2 wheels before my first injury, and it could have been much worse without the gear I was wearing, so she's hopeful. That was a year and 9,000 miles ago.
@@teopeno fantastic advice. That’s why I don’t even talk about riding on Facebook or anything. Don’t need anyone telling me yet another horror story. And I just finished an advanced training class yesterday and will take the more advanced ones when I get more miles under my belt.

Nice machine shop. Good to know special tools can be custom made. Great idea to combine a coffee shop.
Congratulations upon getting your Triumph back! It sure took along time! I really like the idea of a coffee/motorcycle combo store. I'm ready for one right here!
Cool to see the shop thanks for sharing.
Love your adventures and you always having a smile on your face. Cheers and ride safe!
Excellent, bet it's such a great feeling to have a local Triumph dealer....I'm not far from the factory in England. 😉
YOU ARE SO BLESSED TO TRAVEL ON A MOTORCYCLE OR MOTORCYCLES SUCH AS THESE.....MAY GOD BLESS AND PROTECT YOU WHEREVER YOU MAY GO AND BRING YOU SAFELY TO EACH DESTINATION YOU PICK OUT🙏🏾❤🤠🚲🚲🚲YOURE LIVIN YOUR LIFE OF WHAT I DREAM OF DOING👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🎄🎅
i think i've been there 😁 2 of my favs, doodles and Motoblonde! that rocket 3 is a BeAut !!!!!
Your Videos become more and more interesting, you're on your way becoming an expert in introducing different Bikes! High five from Germany!
So pleased you got your baby back and it looks like you made a couple of new friends as well. Good for you. Enjoy your trip to Florida regardless of your mode of transport. I think the bike would be more fun assuming you get the right weather. Ride safely 🙏
How awesome having that shop/resource only 30 mins from home!
Good luck to you Doodle and.....go easy on the K-Man (Kody). 😁👍
Love boutique shops like this. This one is thinking out of the box by integrating two popular elements that promote relationship building and a common connection. Because you really can’t go wrong with the theme of Triumph Bikes and Coffee. Triumph has been on a tear in recent years. The all new redesigned 2022 Triumph Tiger 1200 looks fantastic. As does the entire Triumph line up. It’s that got that top-shelf fit and finish. Ride safe and ride often. Peace
Another awesome vid...that shop looks awesome as well. I would say, love our mom and live your life. :-) Looking forward to the next one
You know……..a classic Triumph is just so beautiful……..must be time you had another one, or, started collecting them!!
I’m from the 🇬🇧 and every time ‘God Save our Gracious Queen’ played while you were in the shop, I had to stand to attention, so…. lol 😂
LOL! 😅
Nice tour of the dealership. Ride safe and always be aware of your surroundings and you’ll be ok on your trip. I’ve road many a mountain and coastal road here in N. Ca and hope to do a cross country one some day. Best of luck to you!
Awesome video Doodle! I remember you dropping your T120 all the time to now you mastering everything you ride. This is what time, patience and experience does. I am so very proud of you skills development!!! Great stuff Lady!
Ride SAFE and BE safe Doodle!
🙌👏👏👏👏👏👍✌👌🖖🤙👋🙂🌹
Great video... the shop looks fantastic! Might be worth a road trip to visit! Let's see, Toronto to Roswell GA...
My folks don’t like that we ride either! 😏 oh well!
You've been awfully quiet lately girl... When's the next video ?
Great content! First time I saw you was on a Blockhead video, now I’m subscribed! 2022 Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueen, 2020 Indian Scout 60 Bobber, and a 2017 Triumph Thunderbird 1700 LT. Nice to see other Triumph riders in our neck of the woods! (South Carolina for me).
Great show, keep them coming 👏
Coolest part was the machine room, anything is possible with that amount of equipment!
Wow. That machine shop with functioning tools that old was amazing! Glad you worked things out with your mom.
Wasn’t it tho!!
Really enjoyed this episode. Thanks for including the machine shop tour. That's my kinda stuff.
Triumph are overpriced for what you get and they are not made in England anymore they are made in Thailand and the prices have not dropped one and they are very expensive for what you get and most people hate to customer service for lack thereof that they get from a new Triumph shop watch some of the videos in English about people who has serious trouble with their triumphs and gotten no help from the factory or their dealer major stuff fight cases breaking your Transmissions going out of service when they moved the factory out of England show many people cancelled their deposits on bike now they are in trouble big-time
moto shop + COFFEE!!!! amazing!!
Interesting you're showing scenes from Roswell Triumph. I just got my 2018 Speedmaster from their shop last week. To order the part to fix my bike (a stator) would've been about three months. They ordered one from California and got my bike back to me in six weeks. I highly recommend this dealership. They're new on the scene, and I think they're great!
Beat my expectations with that episode 👍👍
Awesome ride safe and enjoy happy holidays to you and your family
Nice one and looking lovely
Now that my kids are almost grown I'm thinking about getting back in the wind and I'm REALLY liking the looks of the Triumph Speedmaster.
Yassssss
Damn that was so cool. I was smiling all the way through.
Mothers always freakout when their kid rides a bike cross country. I am in my 60's and riding since 14 and it has only been in the last few years that mom has calmed down about me riding.
I just watched your video today. I'm considering buying a Triumph Tiger. I was in Roswell yesterday and stopped by the store for the first time I met Gordy. I couldn't believe it when I saw your video very cool!
Cool!! 😃
Oh my … This was beyond cool.
That vid was over way too soon. That feeling when you're really into a vid, and suddenly you notice it's wrapping up.
Sweet that the Triumph shop owner recognised Doodle.
Florida is an awesome place for motorcycles. They ride year round and most cagers actually have way look out for bikers.
Looked like a fun time. Behind the scenes stuff is always good :)
You are in the A list now…congratulations
Nice one! what a cool shop and owner. :>)
Oh that's funny! I thought it would be a local phenomenon here in Germany, but it seems that in the US, its quite similar. The Triumph stores look much more like a Fashion outlet for Biker-Clothes than a motorcycle store! At our local retailer here, as they are so many clothes and stuff hanging around in the '"showroom", the few Triumph motorcycles for sale have to park outside (in the wind&rain). When you want to try sitting on them, they first have to make the seat dry😊. I couldnt even see where the workshop was 😂
Oh!!
What a cool shop
Nice to have a Triumph Dealer right down the road. My wife and I rode down to see it a few days before they opened. A couple of weeks later I picked up a 2020 T120 with 400 miles off a private owner. Nice place to get a cup of coffee and hang out with like-minded people. Doodle. You should do a meet and greet there one time. Start their Triumph club.
Yesss. The Rocket 3. Awesome.
Okay awesome video. Love Triumphs myself. Also into Harley’s but decided not to purchase one yet, that’s another story. That was a great tour of the new dealership and shop near you. Must be a breathe of fresh air to have one so close. The owner was great and I’m sure he’ll do everything he can to help you out in the future. I was sooo excited at the end when I saw you getting on the Speed Twin! Then the video ended, and I almost cried. Can’t wait to see you ride that bike!! I rented one via Twisted Road this summer for my birthday for 3 days, I absolutely, 100% fell in love with that bike, I put 350 miles on it. If I didn’t decide to get an ADV bike, I’d have one in my garage right now. It’s the bike that changed my mind completely on getting an M8 Harley Softail.
You’ll see the video on it next Tuesday! 😃
@@DoodleOnAMotorcycle awesome! Can’t wait! 😎
That is a cool place. ✌️
This was a very entertaining video, like a road trip, but I never left home. LOL. Thank you.

You’re lucky you have a Triumph dealer close. I used to have one 2 miles from my house and it closed and the next was an hour away. I got spoiled and that was a big part of trading my Bonne on my Heritage.
What a cool shop! 😸
Awesome video
Our Harley dealership in Southampton England has a nice coffee shop too, does nice Food, ozzy runs it , just taking his CBT too, lol

Well I hope you came down on the RG ,we're having fantastic weather. I hope all is well with you. Always enjoy your content. Keep up the good work.
Next Friday! 😁
That bike is awesome!!!Little partial as I have one but still 😁
I'm going to have to find my way down there. It's been too long since I was in Georgia last.
Heather rockin the Harley clothes! She’s the best
Nice of you to help promote someone else as well. A candle loses nothing lighting another candle
Just hanging out and meeting like minded people
Love your Channel ❤👍
When my mother realized I was riding motorcycles she got a bit freaky. But my dad had a mile wide smile on his face. She will adjust. Put it on the back of one and take her for a ride. 😁
LOL she would never
@@DoodleOnAMotorcycle yeah I suppose my mom would never too. With my mom her not wanting me to take any risks was more about her. I realized that a fairly early age.
I've been waiting for a good day to visit this place. Being that I live in the area, I needs to visit.
Yasssss - they’re celebrating their one year anniversary Sunday at 11a make it happen’ !
@@DoodleOnAMotorcycle I'll try to get there.
My favorite part of the video is when Heather adds a quarter inch to her height. I hope y'all had fun meeting up.
Love that bike. Same as MIne
Dang, I want that Bonnivilee...Bonnival...crap, forgot how to spell it. Anyway, that 1200 is so nice. Man, the Harley, Doodle, is just too much bike for me. Though I'm a cruiser, I'm a short-distance rider, so I don't want to hassle with such a monster of a bike. My Yamaha 100 V Star is nice for around town, but the darned thing, though it has saddle bags, can't carry a gallon of milk, and I haven't yet found a big bag to mount on the back seat. Oh well, that's what my Honda 600 Silver Wing is for (and let me tell you, that baby gets up and scoots, putting the scoot in 'scooter.')
Anyway, thanks for the vid.
cool fun movie enjoyed watching it
