you know what? i can understand why people don't like the vocals, and i was initially one of those people... there's a few imperfections and a few notes that fell flat. but, as i listened to this many more times, i realized that the imperfections honestly made it great. the relative lack of editing really shows off the power and beauty of the human voice... especially during the choruses, oh my god the chills. anyways, you both did a wonderful job and sully's instrumental is amazing like usual i also think you made a lot of altos (me included) jealous with that high A good job
Wow thank you so much, this is a really insightful comment. Several takes were recorded in different types of power and strength (soft voice versus belting). Ultimately though it was definitely centered more around 'emotion'. Even in the audition emotional was a keyword! I'm glad you looked beyond just the technical imperfections and could enjoy the song for what it is! ECHO is definitely an emotional and hard-hitting song :')
oh, no problem! i think for a song like this it's a must to capture the emotions in the song, especially since it's an orchestral version and the vocals are more exposed. lyrics that are this full of panic should be sung in that style, which you did well :D
Phoenix Maravilla I know right? These vocals are amazing and not to mention the orchestration was just right. He managed a very upbeat and soothing tone paired up with a beutiful vocal by Elly. The original was very static and robotic but these two scores have been able to keep their upbeat rhythm.

IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!!! Firstly, the vocals are AMAZING!!! I like the fear at the chorus. The loss of hope in the pre-chorus. The energy at the final Chorus. The softness of the first verses increasing into a crescendo. Suddenly, into a forte! Then at the last chorus, it ends into a intense finale, ending with subito-piano... The music between the chorus and pre-chorus was EPIC!!! It expresses everything the person is feeling. The brass, drums, violins, everything. It was all in perfection! When you used pizzacato on those strings is perfect! Suddenly a, subito forte! Then a buildup in the music. I like how you added extra notes to express wonderfully the fear and hopelessness. I wouldn't change a thing in this piece to make it better! Nevertheless, you are becoming one of my favorite music channels! Keep up the great and excellent work Sully! ^^

He has written songs for any and all Vocaloids with English voicebanks. In turn, this song and Rolling Girl were my first Vocaloid songs. I'm into the fandom, and coming back to this video because of a Hatsune Miku NT cover of bad apple that I was trying to find the instrumental for.. :v
CircusP did not make this song, the music and lyrics were all by Crusher (formerly Crusher-P). Both of them worked together for its release, though, CircusP tuned GUMI English to sing the song and did the mastering for it :P

I am aware of that. I am a fan of that animation but this is a separate one. The Echo used in the animation is even different from this, so as I said, it's another thing. At this point, it is more of a reference than the thing it self. In addition, I have no issues with this channel's inspiration or drive. If that is how you word it, you are implying to me that Sully is clickbaiting Undertale fans - you know, like other channels that put Undertale in the title so that the fan base will try it out. Sully has no such issue. People love Sully's work of art for what it is and I am one of those. In the end, my argument is that the title is misleading.

But what I think is that since sully's audience has been filled with fans of the game Undertale it might be more familiar to them as they are likely to recognize the animation rather than the original but who knows? Both are popular so by referencing the animation it may also attract a second audience
