Yes sir my grandparents bought my first sega in 1993 or 94 and me and my grandfather would play this literally for hours together and sometimes when I'd go over to their house he'd be in his room playing it without me lol so many great memories, I just bought another sega gen 2 and this game off of ebay and waiting for it to get to me and I honestly can't wait to play this again.
@@johnnyandtheinsatiablevoid Overused meme on a tag line that wasn't used in the 16 bit wars, but against the 8 bit NES. There is one thing the Genesis did that Nintendo didn't do this era of gaming, get thoroughly trounced by the SNES overall, and even had to play 3rd fiddle to the PC Engine in sales for awhile. 😆🤣
@@trevormarshall8553 I'd say a little bit censored, doesn't sound like heavy censorship. Hell even games on Genesis tended to get censored, like the Punisher game from Capcom. The Genesis version of this is also missing the flamethrower, why was it removed? Who knows.
Loved this game on the Megadrive, never did complete it. I feel like the first 25 or so levels were pretty unique, but then after it became a bit repetitive with recycled environments with only 1 person to rescue, and if they die it's GG.
I noticed a few differences between this version & the one I knew, mine was the European version, simply called ZOMBIES, plus the chainsaw men were lumberjacks in it
Superior? Not at all, the game is missing a weapon entirely (flamethrower) the sound is also a bit rough. Maybe superior to other games of it's kind on the Genesis, but not the SNES version. You seem to forget, like Capcom, Konami seemed more committed to the SNES than the Genesis. They made games for it only to make a bit more money, but never put their entire effort into them outside of Rocket Knight Adventure (but then again, this game is Lucas Arts, Konami just published it, yet still put out a better effort on the SNES version).
@@Bloodreign1 Shut up, Genesis had Mercs & Strider. Contra Hard Corps was full 60 fps & with much better boss design. Castlevania Bloodlines is more beloved by those who liked the NES games. SNES did slower adv games better, but Genesis was where it was at for 60fps action games.
Superior in most ways, yes. The SNES version was rather heavily censored, something that had not been done in the Sega version. The SNES has a weapon that isn't in genesis, but even though I owned and beat the SNES version first, I rarely, if ever, even used the flamethrower, it sucked in regard since while it had very high damage, it didnt have much ammo and chewed through its reserves quite quick. It wasn't something I missed. But in every other regard the Genesis version is superior.
@@THEGRUMPTRUCK I have to agree, the genesis version was my first taste of this game and I haven't looked back, my cousins had the SNES version unfortunately. What's also unfortunate is that the steam version of this is apparently just the SNES version, but ported to pc albeit in poor taste, I don't see myself getting it on steam, I'll just download an emulator instead. It has mixed reviews on steam as of writing.
The sounds, the music, the demonic laugh as you press game start, and the scream from dying neighbors in SNES version are *far* more terrifying than this version.
@@stmboat They changed the game over screen from blood red to purple I think, and there are some other changes that I can't remember right off hand, you'd have to do some googling to figure out.
I can admit, this doesn't look like a cheat at first, but you must have done loads of practice to get this good & find out some of the stuff you did, but I can see you must have used some sort of cheat, otherwise I'm sure some of those attacked would have been lost
One of my favorite games of all time
The very first Resident Evil.
Ever heard of Sweet Home?
A very tame Resident Evil. But for 1993, this is as close as it got.
Word
I'd play everyday after grade school I've had it my entire life since I got a Snes for my fifth bday
This was my pops favorite game we use to play all the time I was so little man time flys rest easy pops

I remember this game. Pretty fun game. And I like how whenever the players get hit, they go "OW!"
I don’t see anything wrong with this version it has its charm to me 😍
SNES version is a bit censored. The game over screen was with purple ooze on the SNES version whilst on the Sega Genesis version it's blood red.
@@trevormarshall8553 Because Genesis does what Ninten-don't
shit look like atari I woulda been pissed tf off if I had this version

Whhoooohhaaaa whhooohaaaa lol lol so many great memories playing this with my grandpa back in 93 or 94, sure do miss him
I got this game back in this era and never completed it.
Same here, great game I think I just found it abit repetitive 😢

Great memories playing this one all the way thru w/ a buddy way back when. :)
Just picked this game up for my Genesis, goes great with my SNES version.

Not as vibrant as the SNES version; but still quite superior...
Great video!

I mean, I respect your opinion but, I prefer the Sega Geneisis/mega drive version personally, less censorship :o

1 last thing I never mentioned before is that [at least as far as I know] trampoline girl is the only character who is totally immune to every enemy
"Day of the Tentacle", haha, nice one.
I was trying to remember this soo bad 😩 glad to hear the intro 🥰
Best run of this game, thanks for you
este juego me cagaba toda pero me encantaba, mi límite era hasta el nivel de los "jason" 😂
Final boss is a mad scientist with a cheerleader in the back. They nailed it 😂
This game and International Superstar Soccer are the only two Konami games on the Sega Genesis to have not been developed by Konami themselves.
so nostalgic..
I‘ve spend hours in that game 😊
Esta version es mi favorita ❤
Este juego me trae mucha nostalgia
This was pretty scary for a Kids game
I've only ever played this on snes, i didn't think about needing 6 buttons for the Sega controller
My childhood game
One of my mega drive game
Amazing game
I absolutely loved this
Perfection run !!! 🏆

At 14:56 . There are two ledges you could have punch out , instead of walking around it.
I wanted to show how to get there without breaking walls.
Best Game ever!

What happened to the no bazooka fired bonus for level 16?
I haven't played it yet
I got this game on emulator just got to see how to joypad it to my computer keys
WOOHAH!!!
music was better on snes. but sega genesis is a cooler console
🎮👍
bom
2.15 como ele faz isso ?
The snes music version is much better.
My first comment, I did not know that level 12 had that many bonuses
