Good video, worked there for 20 years, real shame when it closed, the upper floors were completely empty when it finally closed. I made a video of the wool production a long time ago, it’s on UA-cam, search for knoll spinning.
The room you started off in had a 3 metre wide woollen card in it. The card was made by William Tatham of Rochdale. The grey sliding door and yellow trim above the bricked up doorway matched the guards on the carding machine. Tathams used to use the room to show other customer around.
