Be careful! This is an old plugin, so it doesn't employ some common good practices more contemporary plugins tend to-you can lose information and geometry you actually need, if you're not attentive. For instance, it goes through the _whole_ model if nothing is selected; without any warnings, even if you're inside a group-a modern plugin would take the group you're inside as the "context" and only work there. Fixit also goes through geometry even if it's currently hidden, or on a hidden layer. If you're like me, and use reference CAD drawings tucked away on hidden layers inside groups (floor plans of a building, for ex) you might lose them (because it erases "stray edges") and not realize until it's too late. Make sure you only use this plugin on singular objects, like the chairs in this video. For more sensitive and complicated geometry, plugins like CleanUp would be better for more control.
even with CleanUp you have to be really carefull! if you use render plugins like vray and work with proxies, Cleanup will erase proxy materials if you don't pay attention :)
Hello! I saw on your channel that you can create custom buttons in the Toolbar Editor. How to create a button for this plugin (FixIt 101)? Can not find code anywhere, probably I can take something from console or rb files from plugin? I have no idea where to find the command to run. It would be great video to show how to make this buttons for plugins without toolbar. For example to add to pie menu
