Madam you are right but partially not fully. Because as per veda (shastra) what ever sufferings wether physical or mental or natural is due to your past karma. And the only way to get rid from all sufferings is do bhakti of Lord Vasudeva (Krishna) by chanting Hare Krishna and nothing else.
