Hi Lee I received my NORAD today yes 5 days early it's absolutely beautiful razor sharp and no blade play strong detent as you stated all in all the design is gorgeous
Really digging their made in USA knives lately. Good review sir.
Agreed!
Made in China
I have one. Yeah it's made in China. But this one is unusually good for their Chinese knives. I'd say it's almost in the same class as some of their US made knives, and not assisted, and pretty easy to center which many of their knives aren't. Also has a D shaped pivot. A good knife, if they had used aluminum instead of steel for the frame it would be hard to tell the difference from a US model
Butterfly knives are my favorite pocket knife, then spring assist, and then ball bearings lastly. I never had a speedsafe break on me. And if it ever did break it turns into a manual knife on washers. I can't believe how many don't like spring assisted knives. They are my absolute favorite.
Good lookin so refined and not a big spender. Glad i bought one. Thanks for the review LTK
Best Kershaw in 2020. (China)
this looks like one of the best kershaws design wise, now if they made it aluminum handle grip tape inserts like on the blur, in a few colors, that would be great
That's a really nice knife. Good for Kershaw... Great reviews, thanks for sharing 👍😊
Does your wife ever tell you, you have toes for thumbs? 😉
Yeah if the 20CV Link comes in KVT and more colours...i agree...
LTK that is a sweet knife I love the 2 tone blade and the price is right I will be getting one ☝️
Hello again Lee hope you are doing well I purchased my NORAD a couple of days ago using your code (LTK) as usual and should receive it by Wednesday 5/27/2020 can't wait :-)
That's a sweet knife. Oh n I do love the link cuz of its belly not cuz its assisted. Lol But this norad IS sweet. As far as d2, I have many d2 knives, fixed and folder n I have never, ever had a rust problem even when I've not cleaned & dried the blade before putting it away. You mineral oil the clean blade once in a long while and you will never see rust. D2 is a very good workhorse steel.
Not my experience. I have a video showing corrosion on 15% Chromium stainless steels... just from moisture in the air.
Beautiful knife I just ordered one..love everything about it...
I like it .it's heavy but good looking .it's a sleeper at GPKS thinking getting one 🤔
I think that Kershaw, and all knife companies, should add a filler plate and screws in the pocket clip empty space.
It rains 50 inches a year here in VAB... no problem with any D2 I own.
D2 rusts for me, even if I try to keep it oiled. I have a video showing corrosion on 15% Chromium stainless steels... just from moisture in the air.
@@sheltermonkey6065 I handle and re-oil most of them on a regular basis. I have one I've neglected for months now... I'm gonna go check it... nope, no oil and spotless. Of course, it might not be D2... I live about 6 miles from the Chesapeake Bay and less than 10 from the Atlantic Ocean. It rains WAY too much here for my liking. The water table is high (I'm at most 28 feet above sea level) and after heavy rain the water pools up in the SE corner of the back yard. The soil is NEVER dry there.
I'm crossing my fingers I'll be outta here by 1 September. The one cool thing is the Carolina Skinks. Catch one and he'll leave his tail writing in your hand. We had a skunk living under the house for a while, and the house smelled like 50 pounds of weed! Seems to have moved on now.... landlord said, "I never heard of skunks this far east." Yeah... well.
@@Tenskwatawa4U Where I am, stainless steels corrode from moisture in the air (unless the stainless has particularly good corrosion resistance). The corrosion spots are deep enough that they are not practical to polish away by hand. If I had a buffing wheel, I could probably restore my knives that this has happened to. Carbon steels I have to keep coated in Fluid Film corrosion inhibitor, or they are goners.
@@sheltermonkey6065 Whoa! Man, sounds like you live in Davey Jones' Locker!!
@@Tenskwatawa4U Do you use AC at your house? The amount of rain per year is irrelevant if your knives live in air-conditioned environment.
Pretty cool. Something different fot sure. One thing I would change is the pivot cap or whatever that's called. Just kinda looks out of place to my eye.
Got mine for $35 used, good knife
Looks TwoSun influenced. I like the slim profile.
Not too shabby! It looks like a something Tesla would make. 🍻
i like this one ! thank you
I wish Zero Tolerance put this knife out. Titanium handle to bring the weight down a smidge, better blade steel and fit & finish... I would be all over that version! I'm still gonna grab it tho.
And if ZT made it, it would be US made.
Who out there would buy a Kershaw NORAD in cpm20cv????
They are out at white mountain. But blade hq has it for 67$
Thanks for the show, LTK!
Kershaw has done good here. That's for sure.
And when was the last time you held a knife, that had a 3.5" cutting edge, coming in at under 8" overall?
: - )
It wasn't that long ago, that they came out with that 4038 Tumbler too. Kershaw is not going to get caught napping!
There's no drive head on the captive side of the pivot... so it was easy to choose the correct side. :-) I don't think you will see Kershaw making the mistake of putting a drive head on the captive side.
Aluminum and VG10 rock tumbled. Lose the cf stickers for milled traction.👍
Just picked this up for $40
I really tried but I just couldn’t sit through the whole thing.
give me the Leek 20CV in this knife design....
Blade is 3.25" not 3.5". Too small for me.
The blade length is over 3.4", measured to the front of the handle. LTK even shows it in the video.
1st Like !
And on the knife, it'd be nice in Full titanium with real carbon fiber inlays, perhaps shredded etc. Everything is g-10 or steel handles these days, titanium seems to be a rare bird in knives these days.
You're looking at the wrong brands if all you see is steel and G10. You need to check out most of the quality Chinese brands. Two Sun, Bestech, WE Knives, Rike, Reate, Kizer, Kansept and there's more I'm sure. Any of their knives that aren't G10 or solid carbon fiber are all titanium frames, they don't even use steel on framelock knives. Even Twosun has some G10 models with premium materials that use titanium liners with G10 or carbon fiber scales.
Kindly send it to me as soon as possible :-D
Can tell alot about a designer by the pivot.... Why do they persist with that fucking awful looking thing? The 0452 is perfect in every way except that lol. Gun bluing pen will black it out if you were curious...
