    this was a very insightful interview. thanks. my 2¢: this was discussed but not expanded upon. PH has minimal Foreign Direct Investments. As a Filipino, I believe that our talent pool is very competitive in the region. TLDR: "Something needs to change in our constitution to allow more FDI to come in from the EU, US, Japan, SoKor while not accepting FDI from the CCP." This gives investors a skin in the PH sovereignty by way of commerce. The US will aid Taiwan because it can't live without the semiconductors (Commerce). The PH has been living with Sentimental support because we're bullied by the CCP. Sentimental support does not guarantee anything (I think that even now, the wow-factor of watercannons, rammings in WPS have worn off), and the guest implied that ASEAN can't be counted upon as they are "confused of our actions".
