A great cover that Katrina Velarde (pron. Velarday) was a part of is her collaboration with the sometimes trio BuDaKhel (Bugoy Drilon, Daryl Ong, and Michael "Khel" Pangilinan on "One Sweet Day". Daryl Ong also has a duet with Morissette on "You Are The Reason". Katrina has a duet with Sam Mangubat on "I Turn To You". Katrina shows another side of herself on "Impersonating Singers 3 (Burn)" and her cover of "Bohemian Rhapsody", where she splits the screen and sings all of the parts. You might eventually get around to reacting to her vocal mentor Gary Valenciano's rendition of Chick Corea's "Spain" on Wish 107.5. Then there is KZ Tandingan's performance of "Rolling In The Deep" on Singer 2018 (Ep.#5). She beat Jessie J on that episode.

Speaking of Katrina Velarde, yes she is amazing! She has a wide vocal range, from as low as c3, c#3, d3 to as high as c7 or d7 on the whistle region. I think the latest is that she upgraded to as high as eb8, my goodness, this is already a tweet of a bird! She got lung power, agility, and dynamics. She was declared champion in the "Hashtag Like" singing competition sponsored by GMA Television last 2017, yet landed second in "The Masked Singer Pilipinas" singing competition, sponsored by TV5, last 2020 or 2021.
Katrina is influenced by Whitney Houston and Christina Aguilera, Celine Dion from the foreign side, while heavily influenced by Regine Velasquez (The Queen) on the local side.
She can imitate Whitney Houston, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Ellie Goulding, Celine Dion, Jessie J., Shakira, Mariah Carey, Beyonce, etc. A very versatile singer, the reason she is often called a vocal chameleon, yet she has her singing style.
She usually does a Houston flip! Although she has her singing style, yet when she does a cover song, a Whitney signature flip can be heard. On some occasions, the Aguilera long belt is audible. She developed this hybrid type of singing, mixing different styles of singing and producing it on her own. But definitely, Houston has a bigger proportion of influence in her singing style. She can impersonate many top-caliber singers here in the local scene and abroad but has her singing mixing style in which she alone can do it.

Yet Katrina is being recognized and appreciated by lots of music reactors on UA-cam because of her unique singing style. She has a lot of acrobatic songs for you to enjoy. That go Go the Distance performance could easily be 5 to 6yrs old already, and it's as if her journey as a vocalist wss in its infancy. As you witnessed on her "I Surrender" duet with the next big thing Jessica, Katrina has truly developed into what can be discribed as the Terminator, or Neo of the Matrix.

1) Somewhere Over the Rainbow 🌈 the Patti LaBelle version this is a perfect song for Katrina and she murders the riffs, run, vocal agility and high register belts and sustains. To see how talented Katrina Velarde is---pls try listening her singing "Burn" where she mimics different singers. It's a BLAST!! Another that will blow your socks of is her singing "Reflection" from the movie "Mulan"---much better than Cristina Aguilera. She passed the virtual auditions of American Idol 2 yrs ago and was only given a week to go to the US to join but wasn't given a working visa by your stupid US Embassy here in Manila. She would have gunned everybody down from day 1.
