The buttons trick worked! Literally did not notice the Samsung Home button got stuck… until I tried this method. Couldn’t figure out why my TV wouldn’t even respond to pairing requests. Accidentally closed this video once I fixed this, so I HAD to come back for a thumbs up and a comment!

We were at our wits end and we tried everything spent a couple hours trying. Our daughter said go on UA-cam. Found your video and your suggestion taking out the battery and pressing all the buttons as crazy as that sounded actually worked. Thought our remote was broken. Thanks so much now we don't have to go to marriage counseling after all.

It actually worked! Thank you turn the TV off and took the batteries out. Came back a few minutes later and put the batteries back in and plug the TV in and bingo👍

Thank you for you advice..it worked...taking the batteries. out of the remote and unplugging the tv for 60 seconds...then of course reversing the process with the batteries & tv..

Unplugging the TV and taking the batteries out is a 2 for 1. They are not related! However, taking the batteries out and pressing a button on the remote for 60 seconds (or pressing the POWER-on button on the remote) worked for me. BN59-01178W Samsung remote.

Unplugging for the FULL 60 seconds worked! Set a timer if you have to. The first time I tried it, I just counted (kind of) to 60. Lol

Any advice if just the number buttons don’t work? It’s a brand new tv & remote that all works except I can’t enter PIN numbers.

Hi. My remote is working accept when I try to scroll down. It won't scroll down but will start what was listed on the tv guide at the time. Thoughts?

Wow. Nice. The mic button hasn’t been working for UA-cam lately. Other than that it works fine, just not in UA-cam. Been driving me crazy. I just took the batteries out put them back in and bam she’s workin lol. Good stuff 👍🏼

Only the power button and volume button that works on my remote. I have tried #1 and #2 without success. I will try getting new batteries to see if that works. Thanks for the video

My remote doesn't light up when press any button, even with new batteries. I test remotes by pointing the IR emitter at a digital camera and looking at the camera's LCD as I press buttons on the remote. If the remote is transmitting, the IR emitter lights up purple on the camera's LCD screen.
I need a troubleshooting/repair guide that starts where you tell people to buy a new remote. I don't want to buy a new remote, I want to repair it.

Juan, my neighbor bought a universal remote and broke into my house just to program his remote to my tv. If I am watching TV, he will use his remote to control my TV and he switches the channel to some stupid show. I can then neither control my remote or even use it to turn off the TV at all. It's my main TV and I just want to disable his remote. I already tried going into the TV commands but he quickly kicks me out of it and controls it again. I have caught him off guard and been able to watch TV but not for very long. Is there some mechanism on the TV itself that I can manually use to delete his controller (maybe in the back of the TV? I cannot find my manual. He probably took it.
Hmm I wonder how his remote can travel through walls if he is next door. I would restore the TV back to factory settings, which would disable his remote. I have a video on how to do that on a Samsung TV
@@JuanCamacho21 I know it is hard to fathom but I called the police last night, who is familiar with my situation (4 years of this harrassment) and it stopped. This morning my old alarm system, which I discontinued 2 years ago for another company, went off and my password would not work. It shouldn't even be connected. I live in a community in FL which prides itself on being wifi connected throughout.
@@JuanCamacho21 Watching your videos helped me figure out that it is not a universal remote but when my sim card was stolen from my 2nd phone, he used that in a new phone to control my wifi powered electronics. I called the mobile carrier to cancel that sim card. I should have done it earlier. Thanks for your videos.

@@JuanCamacho21 Funny thing about it is at the exact same time the volume on my Direct TV remote quit working too. Every other button worked. So I knew they were related. So that fixed both of them for whatever reason. It seemed the volume not working on the Direct TV remote was related somehow.
